They had many great songs after they found enlightenment in their later years recording.  It is indeed a great song.

You've got the right idea MB.  I think that would be an excellent subject to speak on and perhaps unexpected.  Go for it. and let us know how it turns out.  At least we all know that music is good for us, whether we drink spirits or not.

This is a pretty neat article that we all wonder about on this forum. What music really does or us

Tha ould bring us into the next century for sure.  That would be cool.

Now that is a neat idea.  The travelling open mic show.  Sounds like a good future project.

It happened.  Roger, Jeff and myself strted out, then I had to leave about 45 minutes into it and left only two.  It was midnite for Roger, so he probably left soon after me and maybe Jeff (topdown) got bored playing by himself and gave up early also.  Just a guess.  We played abot three songs apiece before I left.  It was fun as it always is.

I looked for this, but was unable to find anything.

We talk about changing strings all the time.  The tonal quality changes so slow over time that we just don't notice how they have changed for the worse and lost that good bright tone.  Changing strings is something I tend to think about often, but just don't get around to as often as I want because it is a chore in my mind.  But once I do decide to just do it, I actually enjoy it.  Well, I changed my strings yesterday and man what a difference.  I can't remember noticing such a big change before.  Maybe its the new strings, Elixir nano, which I've used before, but not for a long time.  I generally use Kurt Mangan strings, which I like very much.  Anyway, my guitar sounds so bright now.  A warm deep tone.  I'll be changing te strings on my other guitar today.  Just thought I would share on the importance of changing strings.

At 61, I am still learning.  It's not past the learning curve, ever.  As a matter of fact, I am learning muchh more now than when I was younger because I play/practice much more and have the desire now.

What a guy.  A true fisherman.  Throw out the bait and make us wait.  Anyway, whatever it is, I hope the best for you and your family.

I guess I was more of a hippy in those days.  My love of country music came much later in life. Now it seems I'm torn between old country and old rock/folk music.  Not a bad position to be in really.  Thanks Jim for the nice words. I appreciate it.

I'm with Dino.  Most of my likes are Dylan, Beatles and anything 50's or 60's.

I loved sport in school. I played basketball, football and track ad field.  I played baseball in the summer and softball in later years as a young adult. About the only thing I could compete in now is the 100 yard mosey.

It is not easy at first. It is something you have to get used to.  Here is a good start to understanding how to do it.  If you look up playing and singing on YouTube, you will find many videos on the subject.
