I'm not sure what that's telling you.  I just tried it and it went to my songbook without signing me out.  It's got to be a glitch at your end maybe. Someone will be along shortly and possibly be able to help you.

Welcome Anna.  One thing you can do is find a song you want to learn.  One that you already know the melody to.  Then check the original out on YouTube and then check covers of the same song on youtube.  I find that covers help me more tan thje original many times.  And continue to practice. You will get many different responses to this question.  Read them all because each of us does it differently.  For chord changes, play two of the chords and practice changing back and forth.  They will become easier with practice. Then throw in a third chord with it and keep playing back and forth.  Make this something you do for 5 minutes every time you play the guitar. Good luck.  We have all been through it.

She was one of a kind.  I really enjoyed her music in the hippy days.

Melanie was one of my favorite female singers during the 60's.  She had it going on.  Far out man.

The bottomline?  You need a good reason for doing anything you don't have to do.  Search deep within your soul and see if you can find that all important reason for continuing to play.  I quit for many years in between my learning.  I wish I hadn't.  Now, I wake up every morning thinking about my guitar and what I will do with it today.  That's because I am slowly getting better each day.  As you notice yourself getting better, you stroke that desire to keep going.  And you don't get better without practice.

Sounds right uptown Russell.  Have fun with your new toys and share some of the fun from time to time.

Good beat, easy to dance to.  It is a good song.

I know.  I couldn't do it.

Most of us agree with this theory also, Dean.  We were talking about it in another thread sometime back.  It is something I practice sometimes when I notice I am pressing too hard.  the problem for most of us is we don't think about it enough and tend to do it the way we always have by p[ressing hard and not thinking about.  Awareness of the issue is the answer.
