Does Paul simon have another Gracelands in him?
Great question.
I often wonder if the greatest writer, Paul Mccartney
has got a great song left in him?
I`ve spent a lot of time thinking about this, the only answer i`ve
come up with, is many of his great songs were about every day subjects.
I think he now lives a less than humble life(& good on him he`s earned it)
also he does everything himself with out arrangers & song writing partner to bounce off.
So no i don`t think he`s got another great song coming.
Don`t know if this applies to Paul simon.
look forward to your opinion.

STONED( think i would talk this over a couple of chords)
you no i`m kinda new to this music stuff
got an old guitar in the garage
had some spare time lately so thought i`d dig it out
Wanna be a rock star!
So read up on rock stars
Lots about picking up chicks
And plenty about drugs
even read a bit about music
sounds like fun
so i took my old 3 sting guitar
downtown to do some busking
it didn`t go too well
the music was rubbish
1 chord just didn`t impress
but on the up side
i did get stoned
can`t see why rock stars like this so much
when i get rid of the scratches and bruises
gonna go out busking again

i do a kinda talk the words with a bit of simple guitar.
i find with my dodgy voice it works.

Love is nothing (chords to come)
Well you get out there
on a sunny day
fool around
and start to play
but don`t get too involved
there ain`t no point
cause love is nothing
start off with a hit
cause you`re on grass
get too excited
it will get ya high
but what goes up must come down
don`t worry there ain`t no point
cause love is nothing
if ya in for the long haul
you`ll get better
maybe having a ball
but all us tennis players already know this
there ain`t no point
LOVE IS NOTHING

Gidday Bill
Just read your interview link. You have lived a very interesting life.
You sound like an amazing guy.
as for instrumentals.
i can`t, i`m not good enough.
i always say
if ya can`t play sing
if ya can`t sing whistle
if ya can`t whistle hum
if ya can`t hum
tap ya foot.
having said all that, i may try writing an instumental today.
expect something with lots of humming in it!

Gidday tenement funster.
this song is not about me or song writing at all.
It`s about my neice who paints.
Not all songs are literal,
if i write` gonna climb a mountain`it doesn`t literally mean
i`m gonna climb a mountain.

I`ve got my mate Beestie writing,he`s doing real well.
so thought it`s time i started posting a few again.
Music In Your Day ( pretty easy just G C D)
Dark clouds coming over
Temperatures dropping
We gonna have some rain
You don`t have to worry
If you got music
if you got music in your day
Boss is giving you a hard time
Don`t know what to say
Bite your tongue...say nothing
you`re ok
he`s the one with the problem
cause you`ve got music
you got music in your day
Sitting in the sun
cocktail in your hand
Could it get any better
yes it could
If you put music
if you put music in your day
