Gidday,
I`ve just finished reading a book by. Will Hodgkinson
Guitar Man` A six string oydssey`
This is a great read,This guy decides to take up guitar @ 34
follow his journey thru britain & america as he searches out his guitar heroes
asking them for a few tips.
If you play guitar you`ve got to read it.
story ends up doing his first gig.(scary)
Gidday Vigon.
I see u an aussie,well u can`t go past an Aussie `Ashton` guitar.
Their entry level guitar sells for $129 in NZ
so i guess it even better priced for you.
It isn`t perfect but i think it`s equal to a $600 guitar.
Very playable,i`ve gifted several of these to budding players.
There is a model @ 149$ & 200$ also, but to cheaper one is my choice.
gidday guys,
good work,i think it`s ok as is.
if u said what u had to say, then it`s complete.
i often notice writers think they need to spin a song out longer
& it losers it`s way & feels forced.
if u happy with it, that`s the main thing.
before u started there was nothing, now u have created some thing.
go u good thing!
Gidday Joe.
Just a strummer too.welcome aboard.
B.
I had a bet with a friend that i could teach him a song on the uke in 5 mins.
I said i would pay for his new uke if i lost, well ,what did i do? wrote a simple song of course.

One Trick Pony
Some one said I`m just
a one trick pony
Just write funny songs and
that i`m a phony
Well maybe i am
some say i can`t play
maybe i can`t and by the way
can you can you
Only make public funny songs
easy to understand and play
there`s plenty `bout personal pain
Plenty more `bout profit and gain
Political, social comment, and more
songs `bout troubles and beating the blues
songs `bout being a love sick fool
So yeah, if that`s one trick pony
that`s me.
Gidday.
thought i better put some chords up for a change.
I hope they kinda work,if ya got any ideas i would love to hear them
thanks.
Never Too Old
G C
Turn off that TV
G C
Get out of that chair
G C
Lifes for livin`
Am D

Chorus
Am

G
Music never stop
F

E7
You never too old to rock
Know a man who`s 80
Full of life and fun
Acts like he is younger
More energy than his son
Chorus
Know a man who`s 40
Letting life pass him by
acts like he is older
Boy ya wanna cry
i like it, but hey chicks just love to shop
`Finger to the knockers`
About my writing song
I`m taking a bit of flak
Some say ok
But others say they crap
So think i`ll stop writing
It`s knocked my con..fi..dence
writing songs putting out there
Is like walking down main st. naked
a lot of laughing & pointing
particularly at the little bits
so i`ll stay with guitar
just stick to strum
then i won`t be naked
no one laughing at my bum
Gidday,
Went to a hollies concert last night.
They really turned it on,2 1/2 hrs of hits
They reworked some old stuff, and they where
the highlights for me.
and a fantastic version of that old chestnut `stewball`
Yeah, know what you mean.
it`s the same with musicians, lots of ego
but the good guys are humble they let
actions do the talking.
Gidday,
recently i received a recording from the brilliant Phill Williams
Great singer /guitarist/song writer.
He picked up on one of my song/poem added some chords
& sang it, sent me a copy.
i can`t even begin to explain how much this meant to me
hearing some of my stuff actually played & sung!
Many many thanks Phill.
I`m pretty useless at that stuff,so having written 90 songs
lately i can`t really sing them myself.
If any of u see just a tiny bit of something in any of my stuff
please give it a try. I`d love to hear the results.
thanks
very happy Brian ( thanks again Phill)
