I like anything from classical to metal. I only have two types of music I do not like opera and rap (I normally spell it with a capital 'C').
Influences................. anything and anybody from the 60's

It is still annoyingly small. My computer's settings are fine. Every other site in the world has a larger login box. And why do I have to always click cntrl + when you can just make the box a little bigger. It is annoying.
Simply because if the log-in box is annoyingly small then all the printing will be annoyingly small and just as difficult to see.
The other answer is to get a bigger monitor but that costs money ![]()

Or do as Deadstring says change your proifile settings to stay permanently logged on.
Now I would play Eb as X65343 (C on the 3rd fret).
Barre the index finger on the 3rd fret to cover the first and third string, middle finger on the 2nd string, ring finger on the 4th and pinkie on the 5th. Mind you I normally play D with my index finger across the first and 3rd antway so it is only a minor addition to put the two extra in to take it up or down the fretboard.

A beautiful new baby. I will grab a beer and wet her head ![]()

If you cannot post it yourself using Amy's instructions in the 'Sticky' in About Chordie, then by all means e-mail it to me I will post it for you.

You probably need to alter your screen resolution. My eyes are not that good and I have no difficulty. Try pressing 'Ctrl' and '+' to make it larger.

A song without singing is not a song. It is an instrumental ![]()
Well done, keep working at it. It does get easier as time goes by, as long as you continue to practice.
Roger
It could mean no 3rd i.e. A5 (Ano3 or A no 3rd) or E5 (Eno3 or E no 3rd). Check this chart I found:
http://www.guitartips.addr.com/guitarchords.html
Hope this helps.

With the space removed it will appear:
And as you can see you have your chord grids to play with.
Roger
There are many chords that are there but not shown, I do not know the reason why, but I have a work around that I use:
1. Open a new topic
2. Give it a subject (say Chord but it can be anything)
3. Paste the text file that follows this as the Message,
4. Change the chords in the [] to the ones you want
5. Click on 'Preview'
6. You can then left click on the chord grids for variation and copy and paste.
7. Close the topic WITHOUT submitting it.
Here is the message but to prevent it formatting properly I have entered a space in the last line within the square brackets. i.e. '/ song' should be '/song'. For it to work you have to remove the space.
[song]
{t:Mary}
{st:anon}
[G]Mary had a little lamb, she [C]also had a bear:
I have [G]often seen her little lamb, but [D]never seen her [G]bear.

Hi Melahide and welcome to Chordie,
I have to point out to you that posting the lyrics of a song is an infringement of the copyright laws and one of the section Moderators will have to remove them. We might not agree with it but we have to adhere to it to prevent litigation and keep Chordie open.
I am sure that someone will be able to help you, even without the lyrics

I am a big Fender fan and I am not averse to a fibreglass body but, and it is a big but, with a only 3" deep body I would want to play it unplugged before I forked out my money. I have no doubt that it will play well and, plugged in, will sound great but with the very shallow body I think that the acoustic sound will not be so good. I hope that I am wrong

What are acrylic guitar strings? I have never heard of them, neither can I find anything on Google.
If you actually mean nylon strings that are normally on a classical guitar, the slots on the nut will not be wide enough to take them. Widening the slots will ruin the nut if you want to put back steels. So remove and keep the original nut and buy a spare nut you can alter to use with the wider strings.

Welcome to Cordie,
Please e-mail Per (the site owner) at admin@chordie.com and he will be able to answer your query.

You cannot beat a nice Portuguese Extra Virgin. Just what the doctor ordered ![]()

Well done guys, I missed them when I looked, must have had a senior moment
.
This is the page: http://www.chordie.com/song.php/songart … index.html
Now perhaps Orange can let us know which song he is interested in.
Roger
Hi there Orange and welccome to the forum,
Now I know that most of the guys and gals here are wonderful, awsome people but as far as I know, none of them are mind readers. ![]()
There is no song or artiste that I can find called duprees, it always help to give both the full name of the song and the artiste. The closest I can find is The Grateful Dead song, Dupree's Diamond Blues, is this what you are looking for? http://www.chordie.com/chord.pere/www.x … _blues.txt

Paul, I have just had a chat with Joáo. If you want to go to his gig at Netherfield on the 18th and introduce yourself to him he will talk to you about it and he has done work in Spain too. Or message him via FaceBook.
Roger
Irritating to see a Video Lesson posted (for a long time) on the main page, click on it, and be told it is a "Private Video". Why then is Chordie linked to it ???
Hi Ken,
As there are in excess of 120 videos listed, and not in alphabetical order, please give the song title and number that you are having problems with.
Roger
It is not affecting me. Try clearing your cookies; that often sorts out some of the little gremins that visit us. If you are still having a problem please send all your information including details of your operating system and web browser to admin@chordie.com

Albufeira and Quarteira are probably the most popular holiday destinations. Many people (well the ones with oodles of cash) go to places like Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago that have golf courses and are more expensive, but these places are more like large holiday resorts. They are not too far away that you cannot get gigs at the restaurents and bars though. If you get chance, talk to Joaó about it as he regularly had gigs in this part of the Algarve.
Roger
I found them here: http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/p/passe … r2_crd.htm

Here are 4 of my Portuguese students performing the Flashdance theme tune: http://youtu.be/rwgKpMA0CX8
Sisters; Filipa (lead vocal and rhythm guitar) and Rita (keyboard and backing vocals) with Aleshandra (lead guitar and backing vocals) and Bruno (bass).
I have unashamedly used part of the original film clip and finished with photos of the band.
I like very much (although I am also unashamedly biased in their favour
) but I hope you like it too.
Roger
Joaó is a great guy, the first Portuguese that I got to know real well. We share a passion for music we did a few gigs together and even with the distance between us I consider him to to be one of my most trusted friends. Do go and see him and make sure that you introduce yourself to him.
Roger
By the way Portugal, well the Algarve really, relies so much on tourism that language is not a problem, the majority speak English. I decided to move here sooner than Spain because a/ the people are very friendlier than the Spanish and b/ English is generally spoken here.
Guitars plug in?
Yes they can; but do you do need to get electricity first
