I wish I couid help.  I do the same thing.  When I feel I am doing quite a bit better, I start looking for the next better.  Good luck to you.

Yep that was neat.  I noticed the video kept lagging and the sound was also lagging at times. But hey, it does work.

I agree with you zguitar. As I always say, you either got it or you don't.  I don't

Bagels should do it.  And the guitar followed me back.  Imagine that honey.

He's amazing isn't he?

All I have in my Skype contacts is Zurf so far.

You have a point Jerry, but I started learning way before internet, but quit for years in between.  I really think you've either got the ability or you don't and only a small per centage can do it.

Sounds good to me.  A reminder might help.  I'm looking forward to it.

None of us are savants, for sure.  I can't listen to a new tune and then just play it.  Wish I could.  It takes me forever to learn a new riff in a song and that is with much practice and reading the tabs and watching videos of others do it.  And then, still it takes a lot of extra time to get it down smooth once I know the riff.

A big welcome from me, too.  Everything they say about practice is right on.  With lots of practice you find yourself getting better every week.  You will surprise yourself often.

I'm in also, I think.  Iput your name in and clicked add, but nothing happened that I could see.  If I'm on your contacts, let me know.

I am not an authority on picks, but through the years I have tried a lot of them.  I now use Jazz picks, kind of medium hardness, not too floppy.  Once I started using them, since they are a much smaller pick than average, I have found that I can't hold a regular pick because their larger size feel like I am using a fan blade.  The heavier the pick, the harder the sound from them.  Too light and floppy picks sound tinny.

OK, an idea.  Why don't we split into small groups and give it a try.  I haven't used skype, but I just downloaded it and don't really know how to use it yet.  Practice makes perfect.

And also Zurf, why don't you try a short version with 3-4 people on Skype and see how that goes.

I took the subscribe function as meaning if you want to track a certain topic, you subscribe to it and it will let you know when there are new contributions to that topic.  I don't know if this is correct, but that's how I see it.  I haven't used it though.

That's the way the USPS works you know.

It sounds wonderful to me if you can get it scheduled and up and running, Zurf.  My technical savy in that arena is low, but what the hey.  Sign me up.

That is bad.  I had no idea.

I sometimes wait too long before changing strings myself and when I finally do, man the difference is amazing.  I have gotten used to changing them every 4-6 months lately.  I thinkI can finally tell when they need it.

I've said for years they should do away with pennies altogether.  They are literally useless.

I really can't think of any songs for some reason, but I do know I remember Fats Domino, Buddy Holly and Jerry Lee Lewis.  They got my feet twitching.  Come to think of it, the first song I remember is Whole Lotta Shakin Goin On.

Tis true.  It works if you know what you are doing. No matter what us guys say, that is the true reason we learn when we are younger.  I don't know if it is so true at our age or not.  I still like to learn love songs because the girls love it.
