I usually get mine from ebay...If you look around there you can buy them in 3 pack bundles for $25-$30 plus shipping ($5-$6) Probably a little more for you but it shouldn't run over $10 for over seas... Dr.Cluck is the seller I normally deal with.

Red I think maybe you mean Drivin my life away? If so try this.. http://www.guitarandtabs.com/tab/326188.htm

Or for guitar try these http://www.chordie.com/chord.pere/www.u … ;id=499683

Well besides the reasons listed above...I don't like rap because it doesn't have guitar!!! I mean really how can you have music without a guitar? -Pix

I know you want an easier way but I'd really recommend practicing the barre versions of these chords. Yes they are difficult and tiresome at first but once you get it you want belive how much easier it is to just move the forms around the fretboard... Not to mention the fuller sound and the ease of adding variation to your strumming patterns using barre chords. I'd personally prefer to play barre over open any day....It just so much simpler once you build up the stregnth. Peace! -Pix

Well my friend, You marry them young and blonde...lol

No, I pick about hiding them from my wife but really she's very supportive. I'll pull an extra side job or work a few extra afternoons to cushion it and she really doesn't mind.  Also a pair of shoes or 3 doesn't hurt in keeping her placid...lol Actually have to keep her out of the room when I'm bidding on a guitar on Ebay... She can't stand to lose and eggs me on to bid more and win it...lol Peace! -Pix

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTiLET_dAro Yea, It's a great song!

I've had a few songs that I really related too. I'm not sure if it was as strong a feeling but they hit me none the less. Let's see one would have to be James Taylors "Fire and Rain" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64_303eHaTM And Ben Harpers "Please Me Like You Want To" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03Z5Ai3J1ug And I really loved this guys cover of "Mad World" by Gary Jules http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03Z5Ai3J1ug Peace! -Pix

Actually, I know you and I am sure you have invested wisely. And since you recently just gave away a guitar, you needed to replace it. I'll make you an offer - If you ever need to hide a purchase from your wife, you have my address and can always have new gear sent to me. I promise to take good care of it!

Looking forward to the review (and I'd love to hear a clip of that Taylor you've got too)!

Hey Tops I may have to take you up on that storage offer! I just checked my ebay account and unless something changes in the next few minutes I may have purchased another!! An Alvarez PF2005 solid mahogany that I bid on a few days ago and didn't think I'd ever win at that price....Now it looks like I may have it also...We'll see shortly...38 minutes left!

I've been working on a few tracks with vocals...I'll send you a cover of Jacks new song "Go On" and a cover of "Heading Home" by Donovan Frankenrieter  tomorrow on the Taylor for your scrutiny. Just remember they're in early works...lol

When you going to head down this way? Beers on me and I'll even throw ya a steak on the grill! Peace! Pix

Ok I've been gassing for a koa for awhile....Well not 2 minutes ago I went ahead and bit the bullet on a Morgan Monroe Imperial Koa .  I just had to tell someone and the wife wasn't an option as this one is under wraps due to a possible divorce upon discovery...lol Here's a link to what I just picked up http://www.morganmonroe.com/MKOA_b8c91d … d971e.html I'll post pics and a full review upon arrival. Peace! -Pix

Well My list goes like this:
Morgan Monroe (spruce & EIR) I use elixer poly mediums
S&P Pro (Spruce & EIR) Elixer poly X-lights
S&P Pro (Spruce & Maple) Dean Markley alchemy gold lights
'79 Yairi (Spruce & Burled mahogany) Gibson Masterbuilt 11-50's  These also go on my '74 Epiphone Ft-570sb
Garrison G20 get's Martin marquee 10-47's
Taylor 314E -I'm still playing with this one but I believe shes going to elixer pb lights... They sound best so far...
The others ussually get Martin lights as I usually have them on hand...

It really does depend on the guitar. The woods come into factor and especially the build of the guitar. The top is braced to vibrate under a certain amount of tension. Putting light strings on a heavily braced/built guitar will kill the tone as the top is not under enough tension to vibrate to it's fullest potential. For example I have a Alzarez Pf85Scvv 12 string that I strung as a six for the extra room on the fretboard. For her to sound good I had to go up to heavy strings to maintain the tension of the missing 6 strings on the soundboard. On the other hand a lightly built guitar needs only light or xtra light strings to perform properly. Putting heavier strings on these can over power the top and cause premature bellying. Then once we decide the gauge that works best we have to start considering the various string compositions.....Bronze, Phosphere bronze, etc... I'd hate to know the money I've spent on strings alone trying to find the right ones for each guitar....lol Peace! -Pix

I can recall this like it was yesterday.back in 1963 I was in a band and myself and two other members went up north in wisconsin we were living in milwaukee and we travled past greenbay and we didn't have any luck so we headed back home.Around 12:30am we were on a 2 lane highway I was seated in the passenger side, one guy was asleep in the back seat it was a clear cloudless early mornning start and a bit cold for the time of year (september) I was talking to the driver and my attention was drawn to a bright oval shapped object passing directly in front of the car about 100 feet in the air it was huge as big as a football field and luminated there were several prism bands of rotating lights at the bottom of the object no distinct color they all faded into each other like a rainbow this object made no sound as it passed over us is was moving less then 25 miles per hour and took several seconds to enter our view and leave, then the car stopped running and we came to a stop on the edge of the highway shoulder we were in awe because you could see it as it landed in a farmfield and just sat there I recall the conversation I had with the driver the guy in the back seat was still sleeping I suggested we find out just what the hell it was and I opened the trunk and put several shells in the 12 guage shotgun and we walked over the highway and climed over the fense seperating the highway and the farmfield we approched to within 300yrds and we were immobilezed I coulden't move and I dont know how long we stood there but I remember all of a sudden it was gone and we walked back to the car and it started running I can tell you several eye witnesses including the state police reported seeing it also and we were there an ground zero as GOD is my witness every word is true and may I burn in hell if im making this all up

Ghosts...? No I don't believe in ghosts, spirits, heaven and hell or other mystical creatures or places... I have seen some very strange things in my life but they were more than likely the side effect of certain recreational activities in my younger days...lol

Some ukuleles come with peg tuners. Sometimes these can become loose and slip under full tension. There is a screw on the end of some that you can tighten to remedy this. If not a peg tuner is fairly common and inexpensive at most music stores. You may also want to check your string at the bridge. Make sure the strings are tied properly and not slipping. If it has a pinned bridge remove the pin and make sure the ball of the string is seated properly before you reinstall it. Just some thoughts...   Peace! -Pix

Nylon strings do take a while to stretch out...though. So make sure you give them plenty of time before you assume you have a problem. I've had to tune mine daily for a week or more before, depending on the brand string I was using at the time.

Hey Jimmy,
I'm looking at possibly picking up a used Crafter TR060/vls-v. I've been wanting a slot head! Would you mind offering up your opinions of the guitar. I'm talking to a guy that wants $400 for the guitar and case...Do you think it's worth it? I realize that tone is subjective but would still like your opinions. Hows the build quality? Thanks! -Pix

LOL...I'm kinda on the fence with this one.. I love their music but I hated the band itself. A little too much ego...  One of those cases where "video killed the radio star..."   I still play alot of their music though!

Hey willgard. That's me playing the joker...That's not really how steve played it ..Just my take on it. What I'm doing is a percussion strum or chop. I'm strumming the strings while muting them at the same time with the palm of my strumming hand. If you look in the tutorials you'll also find a lesson on "stuck in the middle" where I explain this technique. Sorry for the poor video quality...I have since bought anouther cam but it should be good enough to get you started... Peace! Pix

BTW...The chop can  be subsituted with a tap to the guitar for a similiar affect.

OK found this for ya... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fk0if7GW6c That's were I learned the technique from. Peace!

Well today I meet a young gentleman at the local music store. I talked to him for awhile and he seemed like a real stand up kid. I then went and spoke to the owner (a friend of mine) and during the conversation the subject of the young man came up. Seems he's been taking lessons for about a year and has always rented a guitar due to a poor situation at home. So in a moment that I thought was kindness (but now I feel a little stupid) I went home and got one of my less expensive guitars (A '95 S&P Pro curly maple) and went back to the music store. Yep, I pulled the kid to the side after his lesson and handed him the guitar!!! Yep just gave it to him. Man I miss my baby all ready...lol On the other hand it feels good to help out a kid with a dream to play but not the funds.... He promises to take the utmost care of it and return it to me as soon as he can save up to buy his own.... Maybe....
