I went to the site, neo and it looks cool, but is the site supposed to let you hear the tunings  as they change?

I don't think so  - TBH I usually browse with my speakers off, as the pop-up videos on random site really annoy me ... especially when a few open at once ...

Sounds like you've done a lot of research into it, I still run stock tubes in my HK18 ...

I'd recommend the one you feel most comfortable with ... both financially, and in your hands, as there is nothing worse than having a guitar you don't want to play ...

Makes and models don't really come into play when it feels "right" (although I do like the Ibanez range!!) ...

It's a public album so I'm hoping it all works [crosses fingers] ...

Thanks, we used a Tascam 488 hooked up to a sync box , which ran an old program from Opcode called EZVision - that ran the MIDI code for the Roland Canvas SC-55 sound module and controlled most of the drums and the bass and a few sound FX's from the module ... my friend (Phil) played guitar on this track, as he's the better player, and I programmed, played keyboards and sang.

This is a pic of me when we were working on the album:

And this is us in the band (Phil is on the left, I'm on the right, keyboard and drummer in between):

I've got a better pic of the studio setup somewhere, if I can find it, I'll post it up ...

Cheers

Ok,  I managed to fit another FSOTM song in tonight ~Sylvia`s Mother~ ........... brought back memories of a song we used to sing years ago.  It was definately a very quick take tonight as the hour is getting late over here and it`s time for some sleep.  My second take ........... still trying to learn guitar again and cajon was not the best but to tired to do another take.

once you met the challenge that you could post other songs as a challenge.

That's an interesting take - I didn't see it that way, but maybe the original post should read something along the lines of "you can challenge anyone else within the context of the songs mentioned" ... ('cause I made the same mistake, but mine was just me getting carried away with a session of playing and recording, because the wife and kids went to bed early, and I got some rare time to myself ....)

Yer, I was going to say "welcome", but I'm not quite sure if that's the right thing to say ... but "congrats on your first post" in the same vein as welcome ... ??

[confused, but wishing well]

You'll need to download the chordpro version of the song ... click on the "eye" (view), then get to the chordpro version - then copy and paste the text from the song into a text editor and save it locally on the iPad ... I can't remember if "Set Lyst" has a specific place it looks, such as the iCloud drive, or if it does the editing itself ... I seem to remember after trying them all out, that OnSong was the best of them all, although it is a bit pricey now ... HTH!!
