This is a word we hear sometimes: THE BAND'S MUSIC HYPNOTISED THE AUDIENCE.
This is so true.
I am, was a very busy bee, laser, helping people loosing weight, and HYPNOSIS. So I was always so busy, helping people, and the money? was never my reason to do this.
If you talk with people having problems, during almost 2 hours, how much can you ask? We are paid by a session and not by the hour. I can't complain at all, and I really exaggerated by taking and signing all these insurances because in 99%, it is money you throw away. My intention was to keep my "lifestyle" when I would retire.
HYPNOSIS: believers, non believers, for those people 1 question: while watching TV, working in the garden, washing dishes, did it never happen that you didn't hear the phone, or did you never return after working in the garden, seeing blood? this is caused by the fact that your concentration was "taken" by your activity.
SO: it's all about the fact that the hypnotist, takes your attention, your concentration, things happening often on concerts (= massa hypnosis). The only thing that happens is that, if I hypnotise, I take your entire concentration, using tricks, speaking soft and monotone, and if it's a show, you will often see that the hypnotist is dressed in black, lights changing, and I (if I do it) walk slowly around, looking STRAIGHT in the eyes of other people. This is awful: who likes the feeling that a stranger looks right into your eyes. You don't react, but you just do what he does, you turn your head away, you start blinking. That group is the target. 15% is very sensible, they will even close their eyes if you snap with your fingers. 25% almost impossible (except if they open their mind), it's easier to hypnotise a pupil than a teacher, or better controle-freaks. The other 60%, don't worry, at least 50% will follow. Even knowing all this, and seeing what you can accomplish, it is still hard to believe for me, eating a lemon, tabasco, in fact all these people will do what you tell. They will never do something against their nature. What about a woman, laying down with her head on one chair and the feet on another, and the fact that 2 people can sit on her. It's all CONCENTRATION-THEFT and SUGGESTIONS. I once hypnotised a girl, and told her she couldn't speak her own language. Wherever she went, she didn 't understand or speak her mother tongue. I can tell you 100x more. MOST IMPORTANT IS THAT YOU SAY I WILL DO.., and not I TRIE TO. About the eyes:
- if you read this, you will understand why a police officer wears reflecting sun glasses, avoiding eye contact.

IF YOU REALLY WANT MORE ABOUT THIS, YOU CAN ASK, BUT GOOGLE HYPNOSIS? AND YOU WILL SEE AND FIND A LOT

South, I am a blablabla-er since I was born. I always loved and to listen and to talk. I used it a lot when still active. This was a "major" reason why people came from far, most between 10 - 30 miles, and a few more than 50 miles. ALL having psychological problems.
DID I TELL YOU THAT I FOLLOWED LESSONS, TWICE A WEEK, 4 HOURS, 1 YEAR LONG, to learn to hypnotise. No joke, I am a very "skilled" hypnotist", used it in my office, having amazing results.
Well, I will open a topic about this, it is real close to music, bands, performers.

PIX, thanks for that, my friendship your friendship, really means a lot. This is for all chordians.
And yes, there are people you know better than others.
I try to be honest, so leaving my house, like I did yesterday, with my brother living in Dubai, we went to a huge store, I bought some "liquid gold", cartridges with ink for my PC. We were there 2 hours, and I was "dying" caused by my pain. I don't like to tell this, but it's getting worse.
In fact my social contacts are here.
QUESTION ABOUT MYSPACE: I receive a few times, a picture of, real pretty girls, and mails, writing and receiving. Has anyone experience with this phenomenon? is MYSPACE used as a dating site? and what about these girls? You know my biggest wish is to come back to the States, this will be possible soon, but first CANADA. We had 2 girls, 30 years ago, and I should go to visit one in TORONTO. I'm not ashamed to go with my mother. I live day by day, and I will die on 5 December 2052, but every day can be the last day.
If you like top know how old you will be go to www.deathclock.com, very funny.

Dear Pix, did you listen to that singer called ARNO, and or his old band TC MATIC? You should.

As I wrote already, he is the brother of the actor Jon Voight. Angelina Jolies uncle .
The man is born on  01/01/1940, and I start to be more and more amazed of the songs he wrote.
A lot of his songs are probably better known in the USA.
As performer composer, he is unknown in Europe directly, but indirectly there are 2 HUGE hits, written by him.
- WILD THING by the Troggs
- ANGEL OF THE MORNING by Merrilee Rush

I am convinced that a lot of people, in the USA, don't know this. Or am I wrong and is/was Chip Taylor, big in the USA?

MAINTENANCE YOUR GUITAR
- Acoustic
- Electric

When you enter a guitar store, you will find in a corner a stash of plastic bottles, and cleaning towels. I bought one, just before I needed to go to my luthier, who told me that this is lost money.
I don't remember the product.
I am also quit lazy to do this and living alone, I become more dependant, also I can't do it  to avoid pain. You can call it ridiculous but my constant pain gets worse, just because of the position. Sitting walking even laying down.
What is the best way for guitar maintenance?
To remove
- DUST
- GREASE
- Stains
- HEADSTOCK, to this correct, you almost have to change your strings.

As usual, I compare prices. Being an European, it is unbelievable how the prices are so different.
A 2000$ guitar, in USA, will cost +-3500$ in Europe.
EXAMPLE:
A GIBSON LES PAUL SUPREME, in one of the biggest guitar stores, in KOLN, Germany, in the USA will cost you:
5450 $ = 3369€

But if you order the same guitar in the USA:
3,099.99 $ = 2,100.77€

It is hard to believe, a 1200€ difference . Take a plane, and buy a guitar.

GIBSON LES PAUL SUPREME
Neck Pickup:      490R Alnico magnet humbucker
Bridge Pickup:     498T Alnico magnet humbucker

GIBSON LES PAUL STANDARD
Pickups:     BurstBucker Pro pickups with Alnico V magnets

GIBSON LES PAUL CUSTOM
Neck Pickup:      ’57 Classic, uncovered with gold polepieces
Bridge Pickup:     ’57 Classic Plus, uncovered with gold polepieces

GIBSON LES PAUL CLASSIC:
Neck Pickup:     496R ceramic magnet humbucker
Bridge Pickup:     500T ceramic magnet humbucker

WHICH OF THESE GUITARS GIVES THE BEST SOUND, played on an acoustic amp, to hear the tone real pure. I forgot one

The Gibson Custom Les Paul, has been THE guitar, a better one than his cheaper brother LP Standard.
If you see the price asked for a GIBSON LES PAUL STANDARD between 1958-1960, they are almost 3x more expensive than the GIBSON CUSTOM LES PAUL and if I am not wrong, the humbuckers were the same as on a Standard.
LOGICAL QUESTION: Where these Customs more expensive in those years, and if yes, how is it possible that the price is 2-3x less

Well UYK, of course TOMMY, by the Who, MOVIE + SOUNDTRACK
About quadrophenia, I just know that this is also a, by the way very good, album, but no soundtrack.
And DON'T WE FORGET 2 VERY IMPORTANT BANDS:
1) ABBA, the musical Mama Mia
2) SERGEANT PEPPER'S LONELY HEART CLUB BAND, with one or two GIBBS and PETER FRAMPTON?

DON'T WE FORGET THE ABBA musical: MAMA MIA?
I saw a few times Woodstock, and I just found a complete DVD set: MONTEREY.
And as you write UYK, QUADROPHENIA and TOMMY. BUT THIS IS A HARD ONE.
TOMMY = MOVIE + ALBUM = belongs here
QUADROPHENIA: is this used as soundtrack?

If I place a song on this site, it isn't to show how good or how bad I am.
What I love to see is a kind of "jury", people telling me: your lyrics sucks, but if you change this or that, it can be a nice song.
About the melody = impossible to judge, maybe if 100 guitar players, play the chords, there has to be at least one who plays it real close like you like to play it.
Probably we "chordians" are afraid to hurt someone else.
It is so easy, if you don't want that people give there opinion, you have 2 possibilities:
1) you don't post it
2) you ask the others to avoid critics and comments.

My intention is, using a language which is not mine, and trying to post a song, as a 'virgin" writer, to have at least some critics, in a constructive civilised answer.
Like: your song, or LYRICS would be better if you write I LOVE YOU in stead of LOVE I YOU.

I really don't know if you agree with me, as I told, I have maybe 500 songs, and it's not always easy for me, and probably others too, to use the right words. If a song sucks, well maybe it can be improved. This, is ONLY POSSIBLE if you post comment.
We all try to do the best we can, and of course it would be maybe hard if someone told me to delete it, but at least I tried and I will delete it, IF THERE ARE A FEW PEOPLE telling me why.
When I play,  most of my stuff is instrumental, followed by lyrics. I am maybe a controle freak, but I really love comment, but again who am I to decide this.
Or maybe the "songwriting section" is just to post a song, before you go to sleep.
I AM ABSOLUTELY NOT AFRAID BY CRITICS, GOOD OR BAD, IF IT WILL HELP ME TO IMPROVE.
I DON'T HAVE ANY PROBLEM IF SOMEONE SHOULD "EDIT" AND CORRECT WORDS, OR PHRASES

Well jay, that's my point. I had a young man, 1 year ago, who wanted my Gibson LP Standard so bad. He paid me 1500€ = 2200$, while I paid 1 year before 1000€ = 1500$, nice to win 700$.
Even having so many guitars, it was painful to make that decision.

I don't think you have a bad guitar, all you need is a guitar, easy to play, and a great sound.
The price range is from 150$ up to 1000$

Thanks cytania, that was one of the guitars I mentioned, It was a rectangular Gretsch. I just don't if this shape affects the sound, see also the "teardrop" guitar Brian Jones used.
In my condition, I can't stand right, so a chair is needed, result: my ovation, problems, a Flying V, great sound, but playing this guitar sitting?!!?!!

I have since 1,5 years a gibson supreme.
My question is:
- what is the "position" of this, beautiful guitar, compared to
GIBSON LES PAUL STANDARD & GIBSON LES PAUL CUSTOM
- Is this guitar really one of the best as they claim on the gibson website?
What I know is that there is a difference in humbuckers.
How would, GIBSON LOVERS AND PLAYERS describe this SUPREME, or ranking.

I decided to put some songs, most of them with STOOPID lyrics, or NON SENSE.
But the AM7 on the first fret, sliding to 3 sounds very great. The big problem is always, you found a, for you, so subjective, fantastic chords, but what chord will you use OR before, because you can play this as first chords, and you just
- keep these, and play
- or you use a chord to start and fits with these chords, or you start with these, and what next?

x   x   x   x   o   x                 The o is where to put your fingers, the chord is an AM7 or C6
x   x   0   x   x   x                also AM7/E. Start using this chord and slide to the 3th fret

x   x   x   x   x   x (fret 1)
x   x   x   x   o   x (fret 3)
x   x   o   x   x   x

And back to one. Try whatever you want, it sounds, SUBJECTIVE AGAIN, best, if you play it soft, and slide from 1 to 3, and back to 1. It's a bit "bluesy", also nice for finger picking.

TAKE BO DIDDLEY:
Rhythm is so important in Bo Diddley's music that harmony is often reduced to a bare simplicity. His songs (for example, "Hey Bo Diddley" and "Who Do You Love?") often have no chord changes.
So the musicians play the same chord throughout the piece.
It's amazing to see, HEAR an entire song, existing or using one chord only, it's even difficult to realise this, and that ONE chord song is very rhythmic, having the interaction of the voice, and the rhythm section=bass, drums

If you hear rap music, they also often use 1 chord.
Please tell me more.

I was looking on www.gibson.com
I saw there a guitar, a really strange model.
A REVERSE FLYING V
That seems an incredible guitar, TAKE A FLYING V MODEL, SEPARATE THE BODY FROM THE NECK, AND JOIN THEM BACK, WITH THE BODY UPSIDE DOWN.
The body of the Flying V turned 180°
Another guitar, having a strange body is the BO DIDDLEY GRETSCH, with a RECTANGULAR BODY SHAPE.
This is a nice topic about "unusual guitars", also the OVATION guitar can be considered as strange, caused by the back.

I play it on guitar, using two fingers, and going up that way.STANDARD TUNING, Fingertips on string 3 AND 4, first part, going up to 3th fret, to fifth fret, and back down.
You start again but now you go from fret 3 up to 6, a short while, back to 5.
You can repeat this as much as you like.
Like cytania writes: turn on, if you have an effect processor, every knob, especially gain, overdrive.
It is almost impossible to give a decent answer, I have a Fender Cybertwin, with all kinds of amps and effects in this amp, using tubes AND digital = hybride amp.
One of my best effect processors is still a ZOOM 8080, having this for 3 years.
If you want it to play like Deep Purple, you need to know also the amps they used, and in 50% of this intro, it is played by John Lord on a KEYBOARD (I SAW IT WITH MY OWN EYES), the other 50% is Blackmore playing it on his Fender Strat.

THE SECRET CAN BE UNLOCKED, BUT YOU YOU NEED TO USE A LOT OF COMBINATIONS, STARTING WITH OVERDRIVE
