Hey Roger.Good interpretation of what the world was thinking. That must have been difficult to do.  I'm not trying to hang one on you bro.It doesn't need to be recorded by any one unless there is some one out there in Chorieland that wants to pic and choose his verses and record it cause I'm guessing there will be a lot of lyrics.(could be wrong)
I had in my mind something camp fire-ish with some humor.Everybody must have a good campfire story they want to post. For all you Chordies that haven't posted, this would be a good place to get your feet wet. Thats my idea...Any one else???

This song is about a strained relationship.Nobody is to blame here,it is just life and the guy doesn't want it to end.Being a guy it is written from a guys perspective(cause I'm a guy) and this guy is trying but it never seems to work out right for some reason or other.Enjoy

Hey Zurf,I'm up for the challenge of starting it off but I'd like to see the Chordians give us a good topic to write about. So Chordians...lets hear sum thoughts about a good topic.
I'll do the Verse and the first chorus to set the song up and we can go from there.
Thanks Zurf
Yo-o-o Ark.What post is rogers work done at.Maybe it will all relate to the song we do.
Thanks
I was having a problem logging in and out at work and have kinda resolved the problem as I believe "big brother" was watching and it was a no-no.So I will no longer log in at work.Joust observe.
All you chordians that have not posted in the song writing section and have wanted to ....Nows your chance.Just one Verse.

I was thinking of a tune to write and I thought with all the imaginative song writers we have at Chordie that we should the same song. Each Chordie doing one verse for the same song.
One of the mods can pick a topic and set the chord arrangement or maybe write the Chorus and everybody write a verse.
It could end up being a world record for length.(another notch in the hat for Chordie)
It would also be interesting as we would all have our own interpretation of how the song is played and sung.
Anyone game?

Hope it helps

I don't know why I wrote this today.I've never been to Chicago...the word joust fit the melody.
It's about destiny and a road trip. Style of Springsteen

Harp played through chorus, intermittent through verse
Enjoy:)

Thanks Phil and Last Rebel.
It was a tough song to write.I have few memories of Dad and I struggle to remember him.At the same time I struggle to forget the emotional side which has taken its toll on me.At that time in my life there was no such thing as therapy like today.I wish there was but, this is the deck life dealt and so I continue to play.
Thanks Again

I wonder how fast a sixteen year old wearing "low hangers" would scramble when you told him his fly was down and could he find his fly right away to zip up?

For me writing a tune never seems to be the same.Sometimes a tune comes to mind and I'll fit a lyric to the tune, sometimes a lyric, but when this happens it can be tough coming up with the right melody.I try not to force a melody cause it takes away from the song.I've got lots of lyrics still waiting for the right melody.I think I'll buy a mini-recorder cause lots of times a melody will come up and I'll practice it and practice it so I won't forget it and then"presto...I forgot it"
Don't be hard on yourself if you can't come up with a tune...Store the lyrics and when the time is right the melody will magically appear. Hope that helps
