That's the reason you'll see a spammer banned, but the post still up. Mods can ban members regardless of which forum the offending post appears in, but we can only edit or delete posts in the forums for which we are responsible.

Doug - I don't think your problem is too many video games.  I'm thinking that maybe there's too much of something else going on for that image.  LOL.

All I know is that I feel as if I've won the lottery if I find a spammer and lower the ban-hammer before their sorry butt has been reported by one of our diligent members.

If you ever need a large male member, ripped muscles, and real estate in Belize to share with a Russian hooker, be sure and click on the links.

I missed my get away from my family and hang out with smelly river rats weekend this year. So, I'm hoping to make it down. Depends on a lot of things.

Happy NGD!!

Will we be getting some audio?

The more you record and perform, the better you get.  I won't say it gets any easier, but you get better at doing it.

Joe Walsh said, "That's the whole idea, isn't it, to play in front of people. No one wants to be a legend in his own garage. You're afraid you're going to suck, and you will because everyone sucks at first. The idea is to keep playing in front of people until eventually you suck less."

That's paraphrased from the dinner discussion of a Live at Daryl's House episode with Joe Walsh.

Thanks Mike.  You can add that comment yourself.  Chordie doesn't host any of the songs on our servers, so we can't modify the original source. But any registered user can add a comment. Identifying the writer and originally recorded performers is useful information.

In my opinion, it's a nonsense premise.  The idea that anyone with drive and a guitar 'made it' in the glory days of KISS is ridiculous on its face.

Stealing is wrong. You bet. But ask John Fogerty how he feels about theft and what Simmons called 'support.'  Theft of songs is nothing new. Decisions made on commerciality is nothing new. The only difference now is how easy it is to steal.

Then, think about Ani Difranco.  She has been independent since she started, and she remains independent. Being able to distribute her music electronically has only made things easier for her and others like her who have worked to be independent.

I think the only thing that you can say safely is that the entire distribution model and means for earning money have changed.

How much should I expect to pay for a custom strap?
Dj

Going by memory DJ, but they weren't much more than a Levy's strap. $35 to $50 range. I want one myself for Tiny.

Also, bear in mind that tabs are almost always someone's interpretation of a song.  You are rarely going to get a clear and precise reconstruction of an album release version of a given song by using tabs.  If that is what you're after, you need to go to a music store and buy an authorized set of music.  Tabs are best used, in my opinion, as a kickstart to making your own arrangement of a song that you like.

Another thing to bear in mind is that some people who think they are really, really good at tabs...aren't.  Whenever I see a message along the lines of "I guarantee that this is 100% accurate," I'm fairly certain that the tabbing is not going to be terribly satisfactory.

Thanks for trying to share your transcription.  However, Chordie is only a search engine that provides some overlay features.  Because of copyright restrictions, we cannot and do not host any songs on our servers that are not original songs written by our members.

I've moved your post to the Moderators section until I learn how to advise you on your question.

Thanks again,

But I kinda like Zurf's suggestion..... road trip to a leather shop!!!  Nothin' like the smell of fresh saddle leather to bring back memories of younger days....

The shop proprietor has an old LP Hi-Fi on which he spins Led Zeppelin and Strawberry Alarm Clock and other such disks.  Saddle leather is not the only memorable smell there.

Drive up to the leather workers shop in Gettysburg and get a custom one.  He'll even letter "Get back to playing" on it for you.

If you don't know the way, I've been meaning to get by there myself...

Good luck, tight lines, stay safe.

Sure Cholly - But you can tell whether a guitar fits your hand, whether the neck is a comfortable shape that allows you to make chords more or less easily.  As far as tone, you can pluck the open strings and hear whether they ring or buzz or thump, and you can decide whether you like ringing, buzzing, and thumping.

I do recommend trying things out, guitar-wise.  For my money, Gibsons are a great combination of sound and playability but I don't expect I'll ever buy one.  Every Gibson I've held has felt a little off in my hands.  Others swear by them.  To me, nothing sounds as good as a Martin and not plays as easily as a Taylor.  All that said, when I bought a high end guitar, it was a Guild.  I tried Gibsons, Martins, Taylors, Larrivees, and quite a variety of guitars, but the Guild jumped out as sounding and feeling the best to me.  Up until putting my hands on them, and hearing them being played, I'd never have thought that I would pick a brand owned by Fender.  I don't particularly like Fender's acoustic instruments, but here it is.  A high end guitar I never considered from a brand I would have ignored and it's the one I decided to plop my money down on.

Both are great brands.  You can't go wrong with either one.

What Pete said.

Besides, I don't recall you ever frowning much when we've video chatted.  You seem to enjoy your life just fine, and that's what counts as winning in my book.

I once knew an arranger and composer. He guest directed an orchestra I was in. We played one of his songs for which he had no title. He changed it every performance, and usually to something weird. The one that stuck in my mind was Space Monkey Boogie. The program called it Blank.

Then there's always Black Dog by Led Zeppelin that has nothing to do with dogs of any color, or anything to do with the color black per se.
