Nice one. Interesting choice of minor chords in the verses. Really like the feel it's real introspective without being to dark or heavy feelin. Darn good song.

Hope it isn't too syrupy. Wrote 3 songs tonight and this was the first one. Just in a bit of a dreammy child like mood. I finger pick this one on an accustic and my G and A shapes on this one are half barr chords, you know the ol' 4 string F shape slid up for G and A. It gives it a nicer feel I think but full open chords work just as good.

10s are pretty middle of the road. I say try them and if you don't care for them use a different brand. bigdjindustriez really seem to like them as do several others. Not to tell you your bussiness but you should really change your strings a bit more often. I change mine aboutevery three months on my electric and a bit more often than that on my accustic. Also go ahead and wipe down your guitars body and neck and fretboard while you have it unstung.

As someone who learnned on an electric to begin with and now plays both, I feel it really depends on your musical goals. If you want to play Segovia's greatest hits then I recomend a good classical guitar. It has its own techneque, sound and feel which will be used in most of what you are wanting to play. If you want to be the next Robert Johnson then you would be better off learnning on an accoustic for the same reasons. If you want to play in the best Slayer cover band ever then why spend your time learning to use an instrument that you won't be using? You may as well be a body man starting with oil painting classes and then moving on to spray gun. Enough ranting I suppose. My point is, start on the instrument that is appropriat for the music you want to make. And if you are very serious and financially able, learn on both together.

Very good point!!!

There is room enough for everones thoughts and opinions. I don't know who likes who and don't care. I don't dislike you. I think you have alot to offer (and to learn). I think you are a brash, arrogant, full of yourself person with a chip on your shoulder that thinks he has something to prove. Thats cool with me cause often times so am I. I'm glad you speak your mind, if I knew it all we could just close chordie and everyone could e mail questions directly to me. Just please try to be less condicending to the beginers . Save the attitude for the vets that need to hear it now and again. The truth is that an electric and accoustic are very simmilar and very different. Nieghtther is easier or harder or beginer or advanced. If you want an electric sound start with an electric. If not then start accoustic. At any rate I recommend everyone should start with type of guitar that will give the sound and feel they want for thier music.

i have a sunburst Les 80's modle 85 - 88 somewhere round there some black nameless axe that looks much like a Jackson and my favorite; a red flametop custome made Morgon Monroe with active humbuckers. It's my main stage guitar and pretty much the only electric that I record lead with (I use the Les mainly for rythem and for Cream and GnR covers.)

I think you will do well to learn to make barre chords. Then you will be able to play almost any song you can think of in any key.Good luck!!!

I tend to agree with you. It doesn't matter to me if you hold the thing with your toes as long as you can play with it. Hold it any way you want and let your guitar playing justify it. You should never assume that one way is the only apropriate way. Try different things and keep what works and trash what doesn't.
