Re: What should i play??

I would suggest some Joan Baez or "The Band". I think they sing a song call "The Weight". Good stuff from the 60's. Or, that song: I like to teach the world!

Hope these help!

Lots of old hippies and classic rock lovers will be there? It will probably be great fun! Being sort of an old hippie, here are some tunes on chordie from that timeframe (and a couple of others) that will resonate well with such a crowd. They will also lend themselves nicely to 2 players/voices:

Re: What should i play??

Good luck to the two of you. Throw in some Bob Dylan and you can't fail.

Is anything really made up of zeros and ones??

Well, I take it Primal Scream - Kill All Hippies, will be a big no no!

I'd just like to echo the advice to play The Band - The Weight. Terrific song.

Anything by CCR, Crosbie, Stills, Nash and Young, Janis Joplin.

Maybe,

The Who - We're not gonna take it.

Joe Cocker - With a little help from my friends.

The Doors - Spanish Caravan.

Hendrix - Hey Joe.

I reckon the hippies would maybe like that sort of stuff.

You Have to play Dylans' Masters of War, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muQRIUVd6Aw

Barry McGuires' Eve of Destruction

Joan Baez, Joe Hill http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YR6SMAJQW8Y

I feel as if I could go on and on there are so many songs writen to cause awareness. Seems that we haven't come as far as we could have in the past 50 - 100 years. Break a leg at the festival. Remember that you will be doing an honor to all the musicians that went before you. You now have the right to sing songs that others were Jailed or Banned for singing not so long ago. Make them proud!

I may be goin' to hell in a bucket babe
