So sorry for your loss, Jeff.

I've heard that you can catch sea bass from a local naturist beach. But you have to be REALLY careful with your backcast...

I'm getting that urge to go fishing again. Very little chance of actually catching anything around here (except perhaps Weill's disease), but that's not really the point...
I like your style, dino!

The pleasure is in the giving, as they say! Typically generous of you, Roger - and eccentric, too!

Last time my sink backed up, I found about a dozen tiny cocktail parasols in the U bend trap. My wife claims to know nothing of this...

Why not, TT? I'd love to see Nz, but may have to wait for the invention of teleportation - can't imagine spending 24 hours on a plane! I'd arrive more dead than alive...

Sounds like a good plan, nao! Let us all know how those jams work out for you...
Cheers!

Probably of more interest to the European clan of Chordie, but all welcome! If you look at the "Gig Photos" post by Grah1, you may notice that I shamelessly punt the idea of a "Chordiestock Crete". Seems like this may be a possibility! I'm not sure we could get enough of us together at one time to make a big "event" of it, but who knows?
What do we think?!

Another fisherman here, but don't do much any more. The local fishing is pretty poor. But me and Zurf are going to hit Salmon River one day, Amy!

Just trying to access the wisdom of the Chordie hive mind on this one...
Of course, there are all sorts of back problems, and I remember reading posts from other Chordians with much worse problems, but does anyone have a similar problem to me? I have what you may possibly call a trick back. I can bend down & pick up a feather and if I'm unlucky, my back will just "go out" - followed by very painful spasms. I've had this since I was a teenager (ie - a long time). I have been told that there is a lack of mobility in the upper (convex) part of the spine, which puts a lot of pressure on the lower back, leading to pain and instability. There definitely seems to be some sort of instability there, anyway, which leads to the spasms - which are the body's way of protecting the spine.
Anyway, I have found some relief from this problem by working on my core strength, with pushups and also a yoga move called "The Plank". I also use something called a "foam roller" - basically a cylinder of hard foam that I lie on & roll up & down on my spine to help mobilise it. And it feels great! In spite of this, I recently had a really bad spasm - for no obvious reason, so am unable to exercise at the moment.
I am seeing a Pilates teacher next week & hoping that this may help, but any suggestions would be great! Am going back to the Docs as well - are there any drugs that are particularly good for back spasms?
Thanks All!

Well, it has been mentioned before, Dino, but never really got off the ground. I think I'd rather meet up on a beach in Crete!

Sorry to disappear like that, but couldn't get on Chordie in the last week. I will start another thread about the possibility of a Cretan (?) Chordie Gathering! Many thanks, Grah, for the encouragement!
Cheers!

Music surely is great therapy in itself. Especially when shared with other people. I always feel better after singing with my "choir" on a Saturday morning...

Nice one! That's somewhere the Brit Chordians might be able to get to! Anyone else up for it??
