Here's a rocking little song.....

[Song]
{t:Love,Love}
[G] There' s this  pretty little woman she' s been  driving me wild
I can' t get her off of  my [C] mind
[C]No matter what I do,[G] I can't sleep
I just [D]think about her all the [G]time

Chorus

[C]Love. Love, [G]here I come
[D]ain't no de[G]nying
[C]Love,love [G]here I am
[D] fallin' hard this [G]time
[C]Love, love [G]look at me
[D]I'm a fool for [G]you
[C]Love,love[G] feel my heart
[D]And you' ll know it's [G]true

[G] Now  this  pretty little woman  keeps me up all night
even in my [C] dreams
[C]No matter what I try, she' s[G]  my only thought
Or at  [D]least the way it[G]seems

Chorus

[C]Love. Love, [G]here I come
[D]ain't no de[G]nying
[C]Love,love [G]here I am
[D] fallin' hard this [G]time
[C]Love, love [G]look at me
[D]I'm a fool for [G]you
[C]Love,love[G] feel my heart
[D]And you' ll know it's [G]true

[G] Now  this  pretty little woman she's  my everything
ain't nothing else I  [C]desire
[C]No matter where i am [G]  can' t help myself
She [D]  sets my heart on[G]fire

Chorus

[C]Love. Love, [G]here I come
[D]ain't no de[G]nying
[C]Love,love [G]here I am
[D] fallin' hard this [G]time
[C]Love, love [G]look at me
[D]I'm a fool for [G]you
[C]Love,love[G] feel my heart
[D]And you' ll know it's [G]true

Mojo - Fantastic - you played the    House of The Rising Sun while singing the   Sounds of Silence - rare ability

and I agree - guitar work was superb.
if you get to the point of 75% alcohol who knows what masterpiece might occur ! smile

Even though you were away from home, I hope you had a Great Thanksgiving.
Thanks for sharing

Sounds Dylanish to me smile

pretty cool Peatle  Thanks for sharing that

This is a video link to a song I wrote... it is covered by Jim Cristaldi of Nashville.

https://youtu.be/-h-O4aW_SGQ

I put it together as a gift to my wife and children for this Thanksgiving.

The lyrics and chords are here on chordie somewhere  smile

I hope you don't mind watching the video to hear the music.

Phill

I have gone back and listened several times -  these lyrics are very special and meaningful.

For me they have a John Lennon feel to them.

I also think the Icon Picture of Ghandi fit perfectly . and the expression Ghandi has reminds me of ones I have seen in photos of you ! smile

Another masterpiece from the master !

Thanks for sharing Phill

Rich,

Nice job - all of your songs are well done.
The way you played Folsom Prison was quite unique.
An array of guitars as well - liked what appeared to be the pink top guitar on your Beatles version of All my loving that was along side the others on YT

Have a great day

Isn't it funny how things we attach ourselves to become so meaningful ?

My colleague whom I have taught side by side with for the past 26 years (although I've been teaching for 40) retired last month. He - like me, also likes to play guitar - (in fact he is a whole lot better and has a great voice).  I could not think of a better way than to send him off in front of his family and students than by giving him my les paul (Epiphone) . As I presented it to him I reminded him that it was symbolic of his career -  it had both  dings & scuffs as well as  beautiful sounds, strings that sometimes got of tune ( like his students) which he was able to get them back into making beautiful music., and a uniqueness to it determined by the player, just as he was unique in his teaching style.   I reminded him that each string, just as his students produced a different sound - but when played together or in the students case, became involved in his classes,  something special always happened.  He was an awesome teacher - I miss him already and so do the students............ much more than I miss the guitar.

Through the entire night of his retirement- he held the guitar or had it right next to him.

Thanks Peatle for the thread and interesting story.

Zurf and Topdown -  your comments inspired me to share this story.  The world is full of really kind, giving, and simply nice people ( like those here on Chordie)  but it seems the news only wants to cover the sickos, and idiots of the world.

Thanks for the kind words and the improvement.

I liked your suggestion and made the change - I have put it in Chopro format - it's so much easier for me to play from that .

I'm sorry this has taken so long.. and it probably needs tweaking

This song is for Bill and Dondra who have suffered what seems like unending crisis.

Luckily for them they have a strong love and chordie friends to help face those problems.
I was gonna do a quick recording - but I have to go coach my basketball team smile  (Maybe later today Ican get to it)

any way - this is the song...

[song]
{t: Let go of what you cannot change}

[C]I’ve had every[F]thing  that [G]you can [C] think of
[C]There isn’t  [F]much that hasn’t [G]come my [C]way
[C]Not a day goes [F]past that [G]  there isn’t[C] something
[C]It seems every[F] sunny sky [G]ends up [C]grey

[C]Stuff  keeps[F] happening to [G]make life[C] tough
[C] ain’t  nobody[F] listening when[G]  I comp[C]lain
[C]Seems there’s a [F]black cloud hanging[G]over[C] me
[C]Feels like every[F] day has [G]some kind of [C] pain

Chorus
So [F]When life gives you loads of  [C]problems
[F]Tragic,  mysterious  and    [C]strange
[F]Laugh when you can,[C]pray when you should
And[G] let go of [Fmaj7] what you cannot [C]change

[C]Just remember [F]life goes [G]on and [C] on
[C]with challenges to [F] face   a[G]long   the [C]way
[C]if  you let it get [F]to you, it’ll [G] drive you  [C]mad
[C]With your  heart and [F]soul tested [G]every [C]day

Chorus
So [F]When life gives you loads of  [C]problems
[F]Tragic,  mysterious  and    [C]strange
[F]Laugh when you can,[C]pray when you should
And[G] let go of[Fmaj7 what you cannot [C]change

[G] let go of [Fmaj7what you cannot [C]change
[G] let go of [Fmaj7what you cannot [C]change
[G] let go of [Fmaj7what you cannot [C]change
