Hey Bill
Haven't heard too much from you lately, although I have been really busy myself and haven't contributed much other than a few comments here and there.
Hope all is well with you and your wonderful Dondra.
Take care and pray for great spring weather and good health for all

That Chapman stick is really cool.
Tapping instead of strumming - really neat.
Sound was awesome - that guy is a master of that instrument for sure.
Thanks for sharing that TF

lol
I'm jealous - I never have to worry about that...........
not because i'm that good - but rather I can't play very well nor sing worth a darn
so the only gigs i'll be playing for are my grandkids ![]()
must be fun though - I equate it with my playing in some championship soccer or basketball games - had plenty of those and had lots of nervousness.

You amaze me that you keep outdoing yourself. Every Saturday morning when I open up your links, I get a great performance. Matt Murphy is awesome. I wish i could either play like him or even just move my eyebrows like him! ![]()
You know it's hot blues when both your feet are tapping along and your head is bobbing up and down while listening.
Happy weekend Bad eye ! (I also liked your poem on Earth!)

Re: How Many Guitars Do You Really Need? (31 replies, posted in Chordie's Chat Corner)
I keep hoping that the next guitar I buy will make me play better - still hasn't worked but I'll keep trying ! ![]()
There always seems to be that one song that sounds great on THAT guitar - and therefore I can't sell it. ( Especially true of my 12 string Fender acoustic)
The biggest drawback as far as I'm concerned is that why sell it- you will NEVER get the value for it that you paid. I went to guitar center to trade up - took my epiphone Les Paul which was a fantastic guitar - I wanted to buy a Telecaster - the were gonna give me $30 on the trade. I told them I 'd rather give it to one of my high school students for free rather than be embarrassed by that offer and walked out of the store . And I did - next day I gave it to a freshman in one of my classes that was beginning to play guitar.
JJJ - keep on keeping on !
remember these famous words of advice ....
"never sell your guitar for what you told your wife that you paid for it originally "
" you can always get another wife"
and lastly - here is an almost true made up story......
JJJ's favorite girl Chris told him he had to get rid of some guitars. Because he is a bit incapacitated of late with his vision issues, JJJ says why don't you bring into the living room half of my guitars and I will pick some out to sell. Chris says just a second and starts moving all the living room furniture into the "Great Room", where the guitars are stored. Lastly she leads JJJ into the same room. JJJ asks what are you doing ? Chris says - it was a whole lot easier to move you and the furniture than it was to move 1/2 of your guitars !!!

Funny you ask- I am just beginning to build a stratocaster.
I have built a guitar before, but now that I know a lot more about guitars I think the product will be improved.
Here is a pic of the first one I built- it's the wood one with the flag sticking up ![]()
