Very sad. My brother-in-law died of the same disease. R.I.P. Chris Squire.

You're right, my friend --- those are the chords, but the changes are too fast for me. I'm not sure, but I'm thinking I could leave one of those fast-changes out and stay with the one before it. Is that possible? F to Am is where my problem lies. Not the chords - those I can do - but the speed at which they change. A chord per word, almost. smile

Thanks for the correction, Dino

I went and took a look Grah, and left a note for you. As I said in the note, you really make it all look so easy!

Thanks for the link! Pretty lady, too. Did y'all harmonize on the "Colored Girls go..... doo-dootie-doo's"? smile

I have the true stereo version of that tune and it just completely knocks me out when I hear that part. smile

When the guy started singing the Greek version of "Watchtower" I was a bit taken aback, but then you took it and I was "home" again!

Continue to be well, my friend and keep making that great sound.

Your Bud,

Thanks Dino, I did find an easier way: Am, G and F. It's on Munsonmusic - YouTube. The Dylan version is what threw me. There's also one with capo on the 4th fret - same chords. I'm gonna try 'em both.

Thanks, my friend!

Hey Gang

Just looked up the chords and they change so fast, I can't keep up. Don't suppose there's an easier way?

Like maybe in E? smile

As Stephen King wrote in his latest novel: "All that sh** starts in E."

Thanks!

Hey My Friends

After reading about DE's knee surgery (and I hope you are recovering well, friend) and reading his sig line, it triggered a dream I had last night which should finally convince y'all that the ol' Strummerboy is bat**** crazy as hell. smile

Okay, I died, right? And as I'm ascending, there to meet me is none other than Johnny Cash waiting for me with the biggest grin and the whitest shirt, whitest overalls and whitest guitar!  No longer "The Man In Black", he said to me, "Bill! Great to see you up here, but it ain't time yet, 'cause you don't have no 'woolly word', my friend! Go back, get you one and then come up here and me and you will do some pickin' together."

So, DE my friend, I'd like to borrow either "Beethoven" or "Einstein" from your sigline as my woolly word, if that's okay. JC didn't specify it couldn't be a name, so if I got it wrong maybe he'll send me back down till I get it right.

True dream, 'cause I just woke up from it and I write them all down in a notebook near my bed.

Thanks everyone and love y'all!

Bill

EDITED TO ADD: And I'm glad you came through your surgery okay, buddy, maybe we need to call this place "The Recovery Room". (J/K) I also hope you make your "shindig" with Jim and Amy and maybe show us some pics. --- Thanks SBB.

Thanks everyone for your replies, but I think I have wasted all of our times and at the same time showed you how ignorant and lazy I have gotten! It occurred to me after reading TF's post that all "You have to do, Bill, you ignorant, lazy SOB, is take that cd you already have in your collection, you ASS and insert in your cd player! Now go 'fess up to your friends and apologize for wasting their time, you Numbnuts!"

I'm sorry, y'all. *sniff*

=========

However, I did write down your son's suggested links, TF, my friend. Please tell him "thanks" for me, and that I'll be using them asap. There's some Pink Floyd I want to download.

Thanks everone and I love ya'!

....... for thinking about me during my hiatus recently. I really appreciated hearing from Amy, who followed through on her "threat" to give me a swift kick if a length of time passed during which I didn't post. Thank you so much also to ALL of you who were worried. I'm not worthy -- I keep telling y'all that, but ya won't believe me, so what am I gonna do with you: my "Musical Family"?

Love ya to death, I reckon. wink

We seem to have a special relationship with each other that one doesn't find on most BB's -- believe me, I've been there, done that and this is by FAR the friendliest "band" I've ever played in.

I know y'all like to get together, and if it were possible I'd love to have you come over for a Thanksgiving Dinner.

Anyway, those are my feelings for all of you and you may consider this a group hug. smile

Thanks!

Ever downloaded an album off YT?

Day before yesterday I downloaded a Bob Dylan album which, through my wifi goes through my BluRay player (has a YT channel on it) shows on my TV in the bedroom.

In other words, I can watch anything I download off YT on my bedroom tv.

Okay..... So I have the album ("Bringing It All Back Home") on my TV/BluRay Youtube channel, but it only plays the first song "Johnny's in the basement, mixin' up the medicine.....' - I love that song) and then it stops. I have to bring up the screen, manually go to the next song and push play etc. etc.

What am I doing wrong, y'all? Isn't there a way to play the whole album all the way through without it stopping after each song?

Maybe one of you could try it (if you have the same setup as me (Computer to Wifi to BluRay to TV)

Any help is appreciated, as always.

Love Youse Guys and Ladies!

NELA,

My friend, I hate that you're having to go through this again, but it's a given that I, as well as your other Chordie buds wish you all the best and that you have a quick as possible recovery time.

Do you and/or your wife have a tablet? Once you are out and recovering (while still in the hospital and of course later at home) when and if you feel like it, maybe you could send us some updates? I know we're not relatives, but I (and I bet our other buds too) consider you part of this family and would want to know asap that you are okay.

Happy to see also that you've retained that sense of humor, you PHISHERMAN, you! smile

All the best from Bill and Dondra

Those never work for me anyway, NELA.

I tried them once ---- nothing. A couple of nights later, Dondra woke me up saying, "Honey! Honey! Wake up! You're having a nightmare!!"

"A nightmare?", I asked, groggily.

"Yeah, you kept bouncing up and down screaming, 'I WANT MY 4 HOURS, DAMMIT' " smile

------

That is an original joke written by me and any of my friends here are welcome to use it at anytime. I don't try to sell them anymore.......

Have a great weekend, my friends!

Hey Folks

I think my life's normalized a little more now. I was having some really bad personality changes due to some meds my doctors wanted me to try. Unfortunately, they didn't titrate the dosages of meds I was already on, so things got really unpleasant with me for a while.

I had a meltdown on another site I frequent and wound up getting suspended for a week, so I didn't want the same thing happening elsewhere - especially here, so I imposed a self-exile.

Hope you all are doing okay and we'll talk soon.

Thanks

Bill

Dear Friends

I'm okay and so is Dondra. Thanks for thinking of us.

We're just working through some serious stuff right now (nothing to do with the marriage - that's just as tight as ever), and I haven't spent as much time with y'all or my instruments as I would like. Also, not on the net as much.

I haven't forgotten you at all, especially Graham (hoping he's better) and I love you guys and ladies and miss you too.

I'll be back on as soon as things are a little more normal around here.

Your friend and fellow picker always,

Bill Craig

PS: Dondra says, "Hey"

Sorry! I have a tendency to get a little "over the top" sometimes with my praise.

This just reminds me of "finding the groove",  a term I know only true musicians know about.

For example one night the band and I were playing "Waitin' On The Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago", when something happened to all of us and we wound up playing that song combination for 30 minutes and the crowd was getting off and we were getting off on the crowd getting off!

Since I don't play in a band anymore, this is what I'm talking about with this song. You guys all found your "groove".

And I got shivers when I heard Roger singing and playing this song all of you had written. smile

I left my comments on Sound Cloud, guys, but this thing sounds FANTASTIC and I can tell I have some greatly talented friends here -- both as lyricists and performers.

So we have a band name, a song and hopefully, many more to come?

As the tunes are created, y'all could use your talents as producers/engineers to polish them and pretty soon we'd have a CD/Streaming work we could call "The Chordians: Greatest Hits Vol. I". The songs could feature the whole group and single artists such as Amy and Peter. Y'all could each "tape" your parts and then one of you technical gurus could mix it.

Our POS (point of sale) could be right here, and sales could benefit a charity and to pay for the site, if needed.

I'm dreaming, right? smile

Still, I'd like to see it happen and I would be the first in line to buy the cd.

I really, really, really love this tune. smile

Congratulations to everyone who worked on it! smile

This song could be about the stages of Early Onset Alzheimer's Dementia, Phill. At this point and even though it's only Stage IV, I still reach for the toothpaste instead of shaving cream and forget to rinse the conditioner out of my hair (looks a mess when I dry it!).

But I have fun with it. Did I ever tell you the story about going into the wrong bathroom in a restaurant and wondering where the urinals were? A story for another time, maybe.
