What a group of talent. They were so into that second song - it was like the music was just pouring out of their souls.
Thanks for sharing!

Thanks TF - nah - not me.

Here is a soundcloud version I recorded today - https://soundcloud.com/tigljk/it-dont-matter
it needs someone that actually can sing and play to do it justice I think.
Thanks for the kind words though.

That was wonderful.... it is shameful that with all the famous athletes the USA has, there are almost none that have the fabric that Sir Colin Meads was made of.
If the interviewer asked American Athletes the same question about who they wold want to be with it would probably be answered with - " Me, Myself, and I" !
I think I need to visit New Zealand someday - beautiful place - and I could spend a day just listening to that young lady speak - great accent and she was so full of honest energy and charisma !
Thanks for sharing - I enjoyed that.

OK - I am delving into a new frontier for myself - the blues on electric guitar !
I used my telecaster to write it.
I wrote this song this morning... kind of a sarcastic song about being brokenhearted.
Let me know what you think - if it's any good Phill can break in his new Tanglewood on it ! ![]()

Re: friday's blues fix (1,560 replies, posted in Bands and artists)
Badeye - you got me going into the blues this morning and I came across the biography of Robert Leroy Johnson - Holy crap - I had never heard of him.......
after reading the story which was incredible - a lot of stuff suddenly made sense... especially the connection to the influence on Eric Clapton. Clapton's album " Crossroads" - aligned with the incredible crossroads story of Johnson's alleged deal with the devil @ the crossroads in a cemetery. - not to mention the death of his first child during the childbirth process - people said it was his payment to the devil in exchange for his musical ability that suddenly came over him.
It is a fascinating story - heck - they don't even know how Johnson died or where he is buried - so many wild stories.
I truly was educated by these reading- one thing linked to another - and suddenly almost two hours had gone by !
Not to mention coming across the 1968 Crossroads album that has John Mayall, Cream ( which Clapton played for), Bluesbreakers, Blind Faith, Delaney and Bonnie, Derek and the Dominos, Duane Allman, and Clapton himself - what a 4 cd set !!! Great, great music!
Thanks for the inspiration this am Badeye !

Re: Love is Not Love (4 replies, posted in Songwriting)
Thank you TF !
I just think it has a really sweet sound to it - and I like how the chorus goes. To me it's filled with a little certainty and uncertainty... the stuff love is made of in our everyday lives.
I wish I could sing because when I play it and it's my inner voice singing ( which always sounds great) it feels so good - but when I record myself - not so much ![]()
I have it now in my chordie songbook - this is the link for anyone that wants to use that form - I like viewing it there much better.

Thanks again for the kind words TF !

I don't why this got in my head - but i started playing it on my twelve string and the harmonics just sounded so pretty to me as they matched the words. ( a least in my head)
Anyways - the song is...
[Song]
{t: Love Is Not Love}
[C]Love is not love, if it changes with the [G]wind
[C] love must always comes from deep [G] within
[C]Love is not love, if your heart isn't [G] true
[Am]Love is not [C]love, if I don't have [G] you
[D] [C] [G]
[C]Love is not love if you can' t spread your [G]wings
[C]yet it's constant, no matter what each day [G] brings
[C]Love is not love without sweet [G] harmony
[Am]Love is not [C]love without you next to me [G]me
Chorus
[G] So what is love, can you tell me please
Oh it [D] seems it's got me on my knees
They [C]say love hurts, but oh that can't be [G] true
[G] So what is love, don't you know
It's [D]why I never want to let you go
[C]I love every second that I spend with [G]you
[D] I love every time you [C]kiss me like you [G]do
[D] I love every moment that [C] I'm in love with [G] you
[C]Love isn't love without honesty and [G]trust
[C]Love will never tarnish or turn to [G]rust
[C]Love is not what you say,it's what you[G] do
[Am]Love is not [C] love unless it's with [G] you
Chorus
[G] So what is love, can you tell me please
Oh it [D] seems it's got me on my knees
They [C]say love hurts, but oh that can't be [G] true
[G] So what is love, don't you know
It's [D]why I never want to let you go
[C]I love every second that I spend with [G]you
[D] I love every time you [C]kiss me like you [G]do
[D] I love every moment that [C] I'm in love with [G] you
[D] [C] [G]
hope you like it.
