Yeah, I probably wouldn't have purchased the Martin had it not been for the calendar.  What a deal.

Good for you soyboy.  It's always exciting to get a new guitar that sounds like you want it to.

A tleasy you are trying something, Zurf.  I have been thinking about getting a nice video camera and putting some of my stuff on YouTube, but alas, it's still in the thinking stage.  so good luck to you. and good for you for trying.

Good for you, NOM.  I have never heard an accoustic bass like that before.  Good luck with the learning.

Well, I just turned 60 and I do love old country and rock tunes.  Way to go tony.  I like George Jones

cj, since I prefer dreadnoughts, the bigger ones, I probably can't help you, but there are plenty of the smaller size Martins, which are really great sounding.  Check out this site and read through it.  That will give you a lot of great ideas on wehat to look at.

All I can tell you, is, I love the sound of a Martin.  A bit expensive, but once you own one, you will want more.
Butch, I'm glad you asked that.  No! smile

No one is a fan of old age pains creeping up on you, but none of us likes to think of the alternative.  So, we live with them, work around them.  If that is what you have.

I guess that is the beauty of this site.  It brings you close to many people in the same boat.  Glad to see you came back.  My history is similar.  I often played for a few months then stopped for years, over and over all my life.  I finally stuck with it since I retired 5 years ago.  I'm 60 and I can tell you that if you stick with it you will get better.  I still consider myself a mediocre player, but since I have not lost interest in 5 years, I have gotten better at strumming and learning new chords.  Stick with it bud.  We're here for you.

Yes, you will get over over it soon.  Martins will do that to you.
