Re: printing/saving songbook (2 replies, posted in About Chordie)
At the bottom of your song book you have a view print songbook link. You can then sort order by artist by song and a few other options. this will make it all one document song after song. Works on a windows comp,,, dont know about Mac.

Topic: Another shop bites the dust (8 replies, posted in Chordie's Chat Corner)
Well it pains me to say that my small town just can not support a music store. In the last 5 yrs two seperate attempts have been made. The first one started doing lessons and hopes to add instruments with demand. THis latest started off pretty good. He was selling stuff used and fixing them up pretty nice with what I thought to be deacent prices for the market in town.
Ultimately my biggest problem is, he has dissapeared owing me money or lessons for a drum set we agreed he could sell or trade. He could even satisfy his debt by coming over to the house to give bass lessons to my son for what he owes me.
So, while living in a small town is comfortable, it would be nice if we had a population base that could support a good music store. Now every one who doesnt want to drive 25 miles is still stuck with a pawn shop or two.
Thanks for reading. just had to share my dissapointment.

Re: Changing strings (16 replies, posted in Guitars and accessories)
OK great topic. Let me ask you experts this. What sound qualities do strings lend? In other words twangy mellow bassy buzzy etc.
In my very short and limited experience I’ve used only medium but found a set of light in the bottom of my draw. I found the lights to be kinda “twangy”
I’ve also read somewhere that some guitars can not take medium or heavy strings because it pulls on the neck to much. (is this true?)
Any time you change string gauge, you need to have your guitar set -up for that type. It determins fret buzz / and action. Remember low action and a little buzzy = fast playability A little higher action = a bit slower playing and a little more finger psi to fret your chord but no buzz, but med to high action is best for bottleneck / slide. Heavy strings usually = thicker heavier tone and yes lighter gets a bit more Tinish / twangy.
I think I got this all right, but If I didn't you can count on someone letting me know LOLOL

All
does anyone read their posts and correct before submitting or am I the only one that has a problem understanding the language used?
Most of the above posts are all gobbledegook to me.All the best
Bushy
I’ll admit there are a couple that make no sense. Like the one above you, and a few others. I will yield on my spelling, I am a phonetic speller, if the auto fix does not hit it, I will usually read the same mistake and not notice. There are times when I am typing tooo fast and it ends up wonky. But your right, there are at least 2 above that make no sense at all. As for the rest, we are talking about effect boxes and the like and we all know what were saying
Ok so it’s kind of a text short hand sometimes, but understandable.
(Just for you I ran this through Word spell check and repasted LOLOL

It was a great guitar. Oh and you will notice that Im Jamming here with ACE! ( My first guitar hero) Note the Keybd to my right,, it was an old Moog Polly mini, very cool to have around.

I would just go and play all the mid priced brands. I honestly dont get caught up in name brand. You might find a jewl for the price of a stone. That being said,, some stones are pretty pricy too
Different woods make different sounds, and Ovations have teh volume and great tone also,, but I am Biased. ![]()

We had a post similar to this a year or 2 ago but I couldn't find it to resurrect it so I figured I'd just start a new one...
Hopefully we can keep this going and have a place to put a face to some of the names here.
Feel free to post up a pic of yourself or of you jamming with others! If you have trouble uploading pics you can email them to chordiephotoalbum@yahoo.com and I'll get them posted for you.
Here's a pic of 3 chordians to start it off.
This was taken by my wife during one of our weelky jam sessons...
I'm on the left, Truckstop is in the middle and headstrong is on the right.. They don't visit the forums much but are dedicated chordians none the less.. Truckstop has been hanging around a bit more lately and will probably start posting soon....
you have mail
