I left you a new msg on soundcloud - but I gotta say here as well --- this is bloody brilliant - so many things going on in this song - a true masterpiece.
I keep listening to it, and it gets better each time. I truly hope that whilst you are out doing your gigs you are including it in your set - it needs exposure so all can enjoy.
It might be a good idea for you to wear a Santa cap and hold a little mistletoe over Ann's head during the performance  smile   Thanks again for making the Holiday more enjoyable !!

Ha hahaha

I said in another post this morning that since the weather is so crappy it'd be a good day to stay in and write a song.
10 minutes later I'm writing one - got sucked into my my own delusion ! smile

Anyway - here is a little cute one that popped in my head.  Hope you like it.

[Song]
{T: That ‘Ol   Guitar }

[G]Sometimes life can get you down
And [C9] turn your  whole world upside down
And [G]everything around you just goes [D]wrong
[G]When melancholy days set in
And [C9] you can’t seem to  find a friend
Just [G]grab your ol’  gui[D]tar and write a  [G]a song

Chorus
[G]Oh find your groove on every fret
[C]Move it up and down that neck
[G]Tap your foot to find that perfect [D]beat
Oh [G]hit that baseline with your thumb,
[C] Pick those strings and make ‘em hum
[G]Find those perfect [D]chords that sound  so[G]sweet

[G]Seems that days slip by so fast
And [C9] nothing good seems to last
it’s [G]hard to keep a  smile upon your [D]face
[G]well don’t you worry, have no fears
with[C9]cowboy chords  and a couple  beers
that [G] ol’ guitar will [D]be your saving [G]grace

Chorus 2x
except in second time through the chorus to end it .....
[G]Find those perfect [D]chords that sound  so[G]sweet
[G]Find those perfect [D]chords that [C]sound  so[G]sweet
slow it down......
[G]Find those perfect [D]chords that [C] sound  so[G]sweet
[/song]

That is great guitar playing.
So simple, yet so complex.
Love the 12-string sound.

Thanks for sharing Badeye - on this lousy snow stormy day.
Good day to sit inside and play and maybe write a song.

Thanks for sharing

Yep, when I saw that set up with the HH I knew that was the one I wanted.
Ironically - I haven't even played a note yet as I have been so busy with basketball games ( I coach a high school team) .  I'm looking forward to Christmas break tomy be getting some time in to play around with it.  I am using a Fender Frontman Amp  so it should sound decent.

Thanks for the comments from all.  They only drawback was that it did not come with a bread machine.    JJJ I have many more buys before I can come in to your level !! smile  You are the guitar NGD King for sure!

That is just a rediculously talented player !  WOW !

The rhythm is astounding. I can barely just strum with a beat.... that is just beautiful.
Thanks for sharing TF

Does that make the bread machine a "mobile APP "  ?

Nice guitar !
I have an Ibanez that is almost identical except I only have two knobs and yours has 4
and instead of Humbuckers, I have two double coil pick ups.

Jeepers,

no one answered my question - is bass harder or easier to play than a six string acoustic ?

I have never touched a bass, so I have no idea what it's like to play one, although when I fish I usually catch a lot of bass! smile

I would appreciate a bit of input from one of you chordians that know stuff about this  !
Thanks

Thanks Bill

here is a soundcloud version I did quickly this morning .
It's not great ( aka my poor  singing and playing) but it will give a bit of direction to others as to how I envision it if they want to do a cover.

I hope this qualifies as my Christmas card and message to all my chordie friends.
Merry Christmas all ! smile

Dylan's greatness in song
Patti smith did great despite one little flaw -  gives hope to all of us.   Such a powerful lyric.
I am a huge Dylan fan - he deserves the award whether he showed or not!

Thanks for sharing though, it was still excellent.

One of the best renditions I've heard.  He had that one of a kind, distinctive voice.  Having Ian Anderson there made it awesome as well.
Loved the church choir as back up. Superb musicians delivering a TERRIC SONG.

THANKS FOR SHARING IT.

As classical Guitar siad above:
Re: Where Was Your Guitar Made

Where a guitar is made is not as important as the sound and play ability and lastly the price.  For some that order may be different and as long as you are happy with the guitars you own  then you bought wisely.
Music is what feelings sound like.

No kidding - until I read this I always thought that my Alvarez was made in USA

It plays beautiful  -   I just looked at the sticker and in tiny lil ol letters in the corner - yup -  " Made in China"

and I don't care - it could've been made in Timbuctu and it would still have the great sound it emits .

Bill ( and Dondra )
Congrats on NGD !
