I tried sending an e-mail, but do not know if it went through so will put it here also.
Where do you live?  I live in a little town called Phelan on the High Desert.  It is about 10 miles West of Hesperia CA.  Or if you are familiar with Wrightwood just below that.  I am interested in starting a Band for Country Western Songs and have written a couple myself.  I have been ask to do a charitableGig in November and need a lead guitarist who can sing and harmonize.

Let me know your location, maybe we can get together.

In a country band there is normally 6.  A lead guitar, a bass player, a fiddle player, banjo, resonating guitar, and lead singer.  This is what gives country it's "country" sound.  I know most of you are not fond of country, but if you do a little research, this is the REAL american music.  It's origin came from America and there is nothing like it ain any other nation.

may the rain and sun be on us all as we need both

Hey James, I am pretty to new to the forum.  How do I get to listen to this song.  I like the words, but had a little trouble figuring out the chorus.  Finally this old brain got it.

Good work, in the writing, but want to hear it

Starrlady, Up there in age too, but I keep on............

I save everything I write, good and crappy.  If you go back and look at the crappy ones you might get a good idea of how it should have been written and take off from there.  I also get some of my best lines at night when I haven't quite fallen asleep.  Keep a note pad and pencil near your bed and write down any lines as soon as you can!  Works for me.
