That's a real drag.  Road To Escondido is one of my favourite albums.  I can listen to that all for hours on end.  In fact I think I might.

I've got to go with The Godfather part I and II.  Just perfect.

I was hiding under a parked car to scare some trick or treaters and I dislocated my shoulder and tore the rotator cuff two days before my wedding.  She who must be obeyed was not happy.  She saw the sling, gritted her teeth and said "that better fit under your tux"!

I've got two scars from different adventures with fireworks.

Went deaf for two days following an "experiment" with ocy-acetylene in my jr. high metal shop class.

I've done lots of dumb stuff but those were the ones where my luck failed most spectacularly.

Lost Together by Blue Rodeo.  Basic chords and a 4/4 strum pattern....mostly

Since the world's ending this week, I'm thinking of putting together a playlist for the boys at my poker game on Friday night. (assuming we're still around to play poker of course).  Anyone got a favourite end of the world song?
End Of The World by REM?
Until The End Of The World by U2?
Armegeddon It by Def Leppard?
These are just the first 3 that came into my head.  Any more ideas?

I never "got" the Rolling Stones until 2 or 3 years ago then it hit me like a ton of bricks.  Can't get enough now!

I was the oldest sibling that wasn't doing homework.  I'd suggest finding out why she's not keeping up.  Is there too much and it's overwhelming or is she underchallenged and bored?  In my case fixing the underlying problem would have been more effective than punishment.  It also sends the message that you're there to help her fix her problems instead of just nagging at her all the time.
And remember.....free advice is worth what you paid for it!

Sounds similar to a method called "spatchcock".  I do it when bbqing chicken.  I cut out the backbone and open the bird up so it's lying with it's inside facing down on the grill.  It's way quicker and seems to be pretty moist too.  I'm assuming that's because of the shorter cook time.  Most of the time my wife get's the butcher (she works in a grocery store) to cut the spine out for us.  The first few times she asked him to do it he gave her some pretty funny looks.

I'm smack in the middle of  Vancouver Island and I didn't feel a thing.  CBC said people felt it in Edmonton.  Strange.

I just realized my wife gave me my first guitar for my 26th birthday which was 10 years ago yesterday.  Best gift I ever got.

I started out by playing a simple song that I knew well over and over until I had it down.  Then moved to another song.  Drove my wife a bit nuts but it worked for me.

I did the same thing at my weekly poker game.  Unlike NBC, I can blame beer.

Groups of 3 or 4 people walking towards you on a sidewalk, and not one of them moves over to make room for you to pass without stepping onto the street.  Makes me want to give them a high five...in the face....with a chair.

I work as a lifeguard/swimming instructor at a municipal pool.  Even though I could stand to drop 50 lbs, I figure if I get paid to swim, that makes me a professional athlete!

My buddy loaned me a CD from a Bob Dylan tribute concert back in the early 90's.  There's some great stuff there.  Clapton, Neil Young, Pearl Jam, Lou Reed.  Just awesome.

Not exactly the song itself but the video from Tom Petty's Don't Come Around Here No More scared the hell out of me when I was a kid.  It seems pretty tame now, but I was 9 or 10 at the time and was probably a bit too sheltered!  Between the pignosed baby and seeing Tom Petty cut into Alice and pull out a piece of cake, I couldn't watch MuchMusic (Canadian version of MTV) for months.

My buddy just set up a t.v. in his garage where a bunch of us meet for a poker/b.s. session every week.  So far we've watched Clapton's 2010 Crossroads dvd and The Last Waltz.  We need to expand our library.  Any suggestions?

A Yamaha Eterna from Costco.  My wife bought it for me for my birthday 3 weeks before we got married.  I've now got 5 guitars and that's still my only acoustic.  Sounds pretty damn good for $150.

Yeah it's out but they should put it back in!

Yeah that's the one.  Every time I watch it scares the hell out of me when he gets out of his chair and starts jumping around.  Nothing like a blind guy running around a stage full of cables.....

Hey Badeye,  I've seen a video on youtube with Jeff Healy and SRV playing "Look At Little Sister".  Go have a look, it's amazing.

How about "THUNDERPANTS"?

I usually use a hard pick, but I've got a very thin one (.38mm) that I sometimes use when I'm playing a song that's faster than my meagre strumming skills would usually allow.  The flex of the pick makes up for my ham-fistedness.
