im not sure how long you have been playing but you have stumbled onto something,and that is, that most begineers concentrate on the fretting hand which is a very integral part of playing the guitar however, i try to get people to realize that the strumming hand is what its all about,and now you have figured that out on your own.just keep at it and it will come.its all about repitition and lots of practice.if you have heard of janes addiction they have a song called jane says,the chords are g and a.

when playing that song stum the g with downstrokes and the a with all upstrokes.that might help you figure out what upstokes are all about.have no fear you will get there.

i just reliesed today that i never upstroke,then i tryeed and i kept getting it wrong,can anyone give some advise <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_sad.gif" border=0 alt="Sad"> <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_sad.gif" border=0 alt="Sad">

Iv been playing for a month and i can play a few songs,but i wanna get an electric this weekend.people i talk to say it is easer then accoustic?

i am getting an electric guitar soon and i want to learn some rock songs,not those easy three cords ones,i want hard,proper one.please will someone post some:)

I wanna know what songs are known as hard songs,i would be gratfully if you posted links or names of hard some,pref Rock from The chillis and other rock bands please <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_biggrin.gif" border=0 alt="Very Happy">
