Looking at songs on an iPad: the wiki obscures some of the lines and chords

At the present time I am working towards the ukulele presentation of several complete Pink Floyd albums and I need to create a new songbook for each album
It would be great if a facility existed to enable me to easily switch between songbooks from the chord page that is currently being used so that I can update the appropriate songbook
Any Chance of this facility?
Hi,
My version 4.04 of Safari does not enable the auto wrapping of chords in long breaks, some of the chords disappear under the chord shape charts
This causes some problems following the lead breaks
Take a look at the Dark Side of the Moon album chords for example at
http://chordie.com/chord.pere/www.guita … 14666.html
Also, it would be really good to be able to sort artists by the number of songs they have published on Chordie
Tx for the excellent facility BTW
M
Hi
Is there any way of sorting artists noted in chordie by the number of songs published in the database
This would make looking for songs by popular artists much easier to find?
Txx

Yup, I tuned it up to the same note for each string and away I went, but the old big finger problem soon reared it's head
But I persevere and it is fun to muck about with
M
Yes, once I'd put smaller strings on I found that they easily slipped off the neck when I played an A chord
But it does sound original and very different
THe blinding silence here is remarkable but?
I got some new strings and restrung it Uke style
Now I have to get a pick but I find that my fingers are very big on the fret board
More detail to follow

The signature had me fooled for a while but the clue lie in the words that were similar to Welsh - of which I speak little
But, I am unable to find a direct translator on the internet so you might email me at michaelc54@gmail.com and elucidate
Cheers

The next time it shows up I will screen shot it and send in

Tham=nks and thanks for the email tooo!!
Hi,
If you have an Apple laptop with a built in camera try this:
Turn on Imovie and open a new file
Imovie automatically senses that there is no camera attached and switches to the Isight camera
Adjust the screen to set up the camera and hit record
Play the song
Go to effects and add a bit of echo or reverb
Share (export) the file
Upload it to youtube as required
Here is an example
I am a crap player but you can see and hear the results

There is also a version of Creep by Radiohead on my page that was recorded in Garageband and then presented using Imovie
It is all very easy to use!!!!

Update:
I managed to tune the bottom 3 strings as GCE tuning ok but the top string is too thick to be wound up to A
I will go and get some new strings and re string this string to take an A but in tuning it I have not tuned any difference between the "pairs" of the strings
Does anyone know what they should be to get the instrument to sound OK?
Cheers

Here I am in good old Hanoi and have just bought a mando
But I don't want to relearn all of my uke chords
Has anyone ever tuned a mando to uke tuning and if so how do you tune the second of each of the strings?
Looking forward to uselful advice
Cheers

I am looking for the above chords and cannot find on the net
Anyone?
Sometimes in Safari the Most Popular Songs Obscure The Chords!!!!!!!!!!
Does anyone have a fix for this little glitchette?
Cheers

I bought a Piezo pick up and a mini amp on eBay for a total of $A30
The mini amp has distortion and it rocks!
The next destination is the local hock shop for a flanger pedal..........
Has anyone come across a solid bodied electric uke in kit form?
I am interested in experimenting but am unwilling to dive in and commit a couple of hundred bucks just yet
Has anyone come across one or even made / or adapted one
I am particularly interested in the tone controls that I see on the manufactured ones
I am not interested in putting an electric pick up on an acoustic (been there and one that)
If you want to you can email me direct at michaelc54@gmail.com
I know that it is not De Rigeur to fit metal strings but I have a spare uke and I thought that I'd try
There are lots of solid electric ukes out there so they clearly do work well
I got a set of metal strings from the net and found that the bottom (A) string was a lot finer than the top string and sounds a lot brighter as a consequence
It also seems to go out of tune up the neck when a C chord is truck
So, does anyone know what the RELATIVE THICKNESS of 4 the metal strings a uke should have
I do have a digital vernier gauge and could then measure guitar string thickness to enable the correct relative string sizes
Looking forward to hearing from someone out there that has been to this territory
If you want to you can email me direct at michaelc54@gmail.com
You are right, you'd have to be born with a thumb like Hendrix to make that one go
Ah well, time to cut down a $25 Mahalo and find some electric pick ups................!

I cannot believe that Uke players are without opinion!!!!
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-BASSTAR-MINI … otohosting
Has anyone tried restringing one of these with lighter strings and using it as an electric uke
Has anyone any idea of any shortcomings or positives
I am not very technical but on the face of it, it does look like an option
Anyone?

Sting plays the lute, badly and then gets one of the best to cver for him..................
Thanx Mate!
It all worked fine
Now, is there any way to get feedback as to the quality of the song book and any idea of traffic there
(Just to stroke my ego a little!!!)
Cheers
M
I have a fairly fat song book that might be useful to other Uke players
How Do I Name & Publish My Songbook?
Cheers
