Hi guys, I can't even talk football anymore, my 49ers got rid of anyone who was good. I'm glad I've gotten more into College football GO DUKE.

Thanks guys, it was great to hear from you all. Sorry I don't get on here much anymore sometimes life just gets in the way. I really appreciate all the kind words about my birdhouses. Hopefully I can make more time to be on here more than I have been.

Hey guys, hope everyone has been doing ok. I was just wondering (besides guitar) what some of your other interests are, or any other hobbies you might have. I've gotten into building bird houses. You can have a look at some of them here if you like. https://www.facebook.com/craziebirdz

Thanks Dino, yea, I'm still around. Beamer, yes, I think you're right. Every note has been played, and everything derived from something before it. Everything is stolen from someone else in that sense, added to, or rearranged in some degree or measure.

Many love the song Stairway To heaven, many say it's overplayed by too many guitarists, but there's no denying it's one of rock music's best known songs. Either way, it may be that when Jimmy Paige wrote this song he may have lifted the intro from a band called Spirit, who coincidentally Led Zepplin use to open for, Spirits song was Similarly called "Stairway"  Here's a link to their song, the part in question is at about the 45 second mark of this track. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFHLO_2_THg Also, here is the article I found that brought this to my attention, it's very much worth a read. Anyway, you make the call. lgrd.co/1mIrHcq http://www.businessweek.com/articles/20 … -reckoning

It was suppose to be the year of the 49ers.

Jerome, it was Tom Dempsey, he played only 1 year for the Saints and kicked a 63 yard FG with only 2 seconds left on the clock to win the game, and with only half a foot. Since then 3 people have tied that record but not beaten it. Jason Elam for Denver, Sebastion Janikowski from Oakland and if you remember just last year the 49ers kicker David Akers kicked a 63 yard FG.

Very true words Zurf, he really loved music. To think of taking lessons from him, that would have been great.

Dino, yes very ready for football, this could be the 49ers year with a little luck.

Update on Willie, Saw on TV this morning he's doing much better and no dates have been canceled. If fact he's already played one date in Dallas since getting out of the hospital. Hard to keep a good man down.

Quite possibly the best song writer that ever lived. I can't pick a favorite song by him, impossible to do.
