Thanks Guys.
No it is not one of my cheap guitars per say.
It is a real old one that I picked up.
definatly no truss rod.
Has MF on the inside of it.
it plays nice and stays in tune .

Hi
I have a Grand concert guitar with no truss rod.
the neck is ok but the bridge is pulling towards the neck .I have it tuned 1 octave below.
Should I try nylon strings instead of steel to rectify the situation.
strings are too high from the fret board

Was also trying out a Firebird and an explorer.
I have allways liked the firebird but think the explorer is ugly.
comfortable guitar to play sitting down though

I have got a line on a set of fender texas special strat pickups.
The price is good so I am thinking of getting them for my Cort Strat copy.

Could allways put a Maestro Trem on the Sg as well

I never thought about that.
It makes sense as the body is small and light.
I have never tried a Bass but I will now.
the thing about music stores is I never try with a strap just in the sitting position.

Thought this thread would get some interesting Comments but I guess not.
Looked into a gibson SG Angus Young with tremelo and a Gibson Custom with tremelo and 3 humbuckers.
the Angus is about half the price

I have come to the conclusion after lots of investigation that buying a Made in china guitar doesnt matter what it says on the headstock as they all seem to be made by the same company.

the sears nova guitars are the same as Ibanez and Cort but at a third the price.

so unless it is a made in the USA Gibson or Fender.
Or A Canadian made Godin ETC
I waill play anything andf enjoy

I love My Ukulele`s.
Unfortunatly a lot of musicians and Music stores see them as toys so support is hard to come by.
Up here anyway

Thanks fort he Input Guys.
Walmart and Sears are like comparing apples and oranges.
Sears has a policy for only selling high quality merchandise.
I Own several Guitars I am just looking for reasonable priced ones to practice my Luthier skills on.
I will say I have an Epiphone that sounds like *offensive word removed* and an achademy 50 dollar that sounds like an angel so you never know.

I have never been to Wetaskiwin but did live in Camrose as a child fora while

OK I have also been offered a Ney York Pro for a little more money.
seems a lot to me depending on where it was made.
any one know ??

I thought I would add.
I was in my local Canadian Tire store the other day.
(A Canadian Big Box Store to All You non Canadian s.)
to get some tools .
I noticed a half size parlour guitar for $19.95
Usually 80 bucks but on clearence.
couldnt resist.
the finish on the neck is terrible but was allmost in tune out of the box.
and sounds beutifull.
I wouldnt have paid 80 for it but was a good deal at 20

it is pretty much the same size as my baritone ukulele
