I can't speak to the quality of the 112V, but I have been using my son-in-laws eg112c and it is not worth spit. The floating bridge stinks and so do the tuning machines. The frets are so high that the pitch can rise about a 1/2 tone if you have a heavy touch. I would like to have it set up properly, but it would cost more than the value of the guitar. Find a locally owned guitar store-NOT Guitar Center- and check out the used guitars. You can find some great deals on Craigslist, too (Caveat Emptor)

In '70 or '71, tried to refinish a mid '60s SG...fubar. Sold a Vox Phantom 12 string for peanuts. Honestly can't remember what happened to the late '60s Melody Maker, man I wish I still had that one.

I happened to be in the guitar store when the Line6 rep was doing a demo. It was unbelievable. I wanted it. But then I realized that I can't make the one I have "talk", so why do I need one that speaks 25 different languages.

Your's is a IV so it has even MORE. I think I'm going to go to borrow my brother-in-laws, this sounds like a nice amp. But like I said, I don't have one so I don't know how to tell you to achieve the effects you want, but reverb and tremolo is the signature sound of The Shadows. Maybe somebody can join in on the thread and help you out.

Yes, I do. I don't own a Line6 but my brother-in-law has one and it does everything but the windows. If yours is a Spider III, then on one of the channels, you should have a bunch of effects.

Wes Leonard was a 16 year old who collapsed and died at the end of a basketball game last Friday night in Fennville, MI. I had been using Martin Silk & Steel (.0115-.047) and they are smooth but don't last long. I have a set of D'Addario .013-.057 on now and they are hard on the fingertips. If the store is going to give you a set free every month, take 'em. You may not need to change them every month, but free is free. Or do you need to bring the guitar in to the store and they will change them? Start with the lightest until your fingertips toughen up.

Back in '72 we had a 50's nostalgia/Sha-Na-Na copy band and warmed up for him. We all hoped to meet him, but he got out of the limo, plugged in, played and was back in the limo. We had to load-out right away, so I didn't even get to see his performance.

I came up with A add9 (077600)or (077650) and a G6 (055430) Fmaj7 (033210) and maybe C maj7(0-10-10-9-0-0). I didn't try to find the pattern. But these sound good strumming along with the song. It's more like a mood than a song.
