Boots around my neck

G
Well I woke up once again
           D
Passed out God only knows when
       C                               G
With too many lights bouncing round my head.

My jeans were on the floor
And a woman at the door
Whose name despite my best I can’t recollect

The night came quick before
And she stayed for just one more
And here I am with my boots tied round my neck

All I need is one good woman
Who can set me straight to shootin
And see right through me when I get to lyin

But no doubt I’ll fall behind
Cause I’m of a lonely mind
And I’ll wake up with my boots tied round my neck.

Now I work down at the car wash where all it ever does is rain.

Re: new song: Boots around my neck

Thanks for the listen Bob.  I wrote the song pretty quickly so it ended up being a little shorter than my liking.  I've thought up a few more verses but I am finding it difficult to reconcile them with the originals.
