Topic: Tablet Compatible

Hi,

I love this website, but to access it using a tablet (whatever browser) is horrible. The "Google Ads" Banner on top of the page is all over the page and you are unable to remove it. Think about of creating a "app" for this website.... smile

Kindly Regards,

Bob

Re: Tablet Compatible

Howdy Bob, and Welcome to the Chordie Forums!

Which Tablet are you using, and OS?  I personally haven't experienced what you are describing (on 2 variants of Windows and Linux) with Chrome, Firefox, or Safari browsers, so a bit more information might be helpful.

Thanks for stopping by and calling this to our attention,
Take Care;
Doug

PS: I however run Ad Block Plus and Ghostery on all my browsers regardless of hardware, so it is possible that the banner you mentioned is just being filtered out and not displayed.... might be worth a try unless someone else drops by with another suggestion.

Re: Tablet Compatible

More input....  Just for grins and chuckles, lit up the tablets & checked it out a little bit deeper.  Sad news I'm afraid, tablet browsers (of most flavors) won't run add-ons, so to work around the darn ad problem, Devon has all the tablets running through a proxy that strips the ads off of the web content before it gets out of the router.  We who are more into things with "real keyboards" are left with our add-ons intact.

So that to a certain extent explains why I at least have not experienced that banner problem....

Re: Tablet Compatible

I have a Sony android tablet called Xperia Tablet. I do not know what app to use to download your songs and use them for playing bass and for singing hands free. Can anyone suggest an app for me to buy or download that works well? this is my first transition from a book full of papers to a tablet. thanks much. Kevin

Re: Tablet Compatible

I'm running different browsers on a Galaxy Note 10.1 (Android) (Chrome, Firefox, Safari) and have all the same issue. The banner on top is messing things up smile I'm back to my old Windows 7 laptop and enjoying this website again smile
