now, i didn't set out to write a Christmas song it just happened. i was messing with my guitar and found a riff then a chord sequence then the first 2 lines. then i forgot how it went....yeh nuts? then i remembered.

But I have to tell you: This one makes me wanna shoot myself.

I'm sorry if I'm being too blunt, but it's also the reason I hate "Blue Christmas".

I mean you even have a place in there where the singer's supposed to sob???

I like your differant take on Christmas Phill not everyone gets to have a family Christmas. It seems to me your song is writen from the perspective of a person having Christmas alone.????

my dear Opie, songs are put up here so that they can be commented upon, so please don't be thinking you're a party pooper, your not. the theme of the song as Peatle says is a chappie whose wife has taken the high road and so he faces another Christmas alone when he can see others around him looking forward and enjoying the festive season as i intend to do and i hope that you and the lovely Dondra will too.

thanks Peatle, you cant have every song rockin around the Christmas tree and listening to sleigh bells can you? even though, if you listen closely there are sleigh bells on the track.

If, as you say the wife took "the high road", then this poor guy must have been a real SOB (not a sob). If she took "the low road", then it's best he's rid of her, right?
