Topic: sad song tonight

here is a short one I wrote the last couple of nights, not real pleased with the end of it so a few more drinks tomorrow night and it may get changed. Let me know what you think

if my life i could rewrite
a few things i would change
a few things i would rearrange

but there aint no going back
aint no changing white to black
whats done is done  and here we are
like a door thats been left ajar
its dusty light will shine so far

another chapter i couldnt close
another life i could have chose
whats truth or lie i can not tell
some things in life we should not dwell
theres on so much water in the well

we make our choices and then move on
we will see what happens with the dawn
you only get one chance to make
you only get one road to take
dont be afraid to make lifes big mistake

kind of song where you turn the lights down, put your arm around your lady while sitting beside the fire chilling out after a long day. in other words; you nailed it. (hope that means the same over the pond?)

I like it . Different feel to it.   I can almost hear John Mellencamp doing it. Keep it the way it is.  Sad songs have a place too.
