Topic: using a CAPO on your guitar

I am aware of the fact that there is a topic on chordie.
I ask a question belonging here, I think.
- When do you use a capo.
- Is there a difference between an electric guitar capo and an acoustic?
- What is the purpose, because it solves sometimes a transposition problem?

I use it when I play with my friend to play a particular song DIFFERENT, so we both play the same song, and the one who uses the capo, plays higher, resulting in a quit harmonic song.

- MY GUITAR PLAYS EVERY STYLE = BLUES, ROCK, METAL, so I NEED TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY IT.
