Topic: Chords, chords and chords.

Playing a song you know, and seeing A, B, D used as chords, you find often a chord like Db7, following immediatly a chord like D, and followed immediately by a B.
In stead of using that chord, I skip it. Because it is an-inbetween-chord, it doesn't affect my song.
I wanted to know your opinion, certainly because the presence of the chord means that this chord should be used.
HOW DO YOU HANDLE THIS? Do you play it with, or without that chord, fellow chordians?
