# An original song by Gord Taylor and Kevin Carmen

Edge of Love © 1990 Gord Taylor

[A] Find yourself at a[G] crossroads

[A] So many keys to so [G] many doors

[A] You`ve landed a lot [G] of hard luck

[A] Face down on a [G] hard wood floor

[F] Now you know it`s tricky [G] out there

[F] Now you know just what [G] you`re made of

[F] You`ve burned a [G] lot of years up

[F] And now you`re on the…

[F] Edge of [G] Love,

[F] Edge of [G] Love,

[F] Edge of [G] Love,

[F] Edge of [G] Love,

[F] Just when you think you`ve [G] had enough

[F] Edge of [G] Love,

[F] Edge of [G] Love,

[F] Edge of [G] Love,

[F] Edge of [G] Love,

[A] Find your dogs are [G] wearing thin now

[A] Couple keys to a [G] couple of doors

[A] Used to be the [G] last one standing

[A]Now you`re looking for [G] something more

[F] Now you know it`s [G] lonely out there

[F] Now you know what [G] you`re in need of

[F] You don`t have to [G] sip from a cup

[F] When you`re on the …

Chorus

[F] Edge of [G] Love,

[F] Edge of [G] Love,

[F] Edge of [G] Love,

It does not looked like formating worked. Can anyone tell where I went wrong?
Thanks,

Hi Gord Welcome to Chordie I don't know the answer to your question but I am sure someone on here will. The song you posted up there reads good.

Re: Testing of a original song Edge of Love

Hey Gordo - I tried it out and enjoyed your song Edge of Love. Interesting transition from A G to F G, but it sounded good to me, at least the way I think it goes. I would enjoy hearing your rendition if you post it somewhere. Welcome to Chordie and I look forward to hearing more from you.

Thanks jets60
I would be interested in how I messed up, and what you did to fix it :-)
Thanks,

All I did was add [ s o n g  ] at the top and [ / s o n g ] at the bottom of your song.

Re: Testing of a original song Edge of Love

Is there any way to add original songs to a songbook?

Re: Testing of a original song Edge of Love

Thanks Beamer!
I really would like to be able to add them to my songbook, so I do not need to print them, but I am glad that is working for you!
Anyone else know how to add original songs to song books on Chordie?

YES! And here's how: 1-Start a new song book. 2-Add a bunch of songs that are already on chordie. 3-Edit the songs in your song book by pasting in your songs. That's it! Just make sure you have it in Chordpro format and it will work!

Re: Testing of a original song Edge of Love

Thanks Jets!
That worked for the song body, but I was unable to edit the song title to match the newly edited song content.
Just to clarify is there a way to edit the song name after editing the song?
Thanks,

Re: Testing of a original song Edge of Love

Nope
I use same method - I just pick a song that is close to my title.
