Topic: Ain't No Whiskey SOTM - Country

OK   Don't blame me - it's all Brian's Fault.

I listened to his song he just posted (  https://soundcloud.com/rough-as-gut/dry-july )  and it inspired me to write this song.  Took me about an hour and a half.
Really thought it would be a decent Country bar rowdy song   I am not a good enough musician to play it at all so there won't be a demo from me.

Ain’t a Whiskey I Don’t Like by Jim Kenyon

Upbeat, rowdy country party vibe

Chorus 1

[G] There ain’t a whiskey I don’t like

[D] Jack Danielsand Jameson

[Em] It always gets every party rolling

[C] So pour another round for everyone

Verse 1

[G] Rolled up to the bar in my busted-up old Ford

[D]Boots on the floor, this place is gonna roar

[Em]The band’s playing loud, it's sounding just right

[C] It’s gonna be one hell of a party ‘til the morning light

Chorus 2

[G] There ain’t a whiskey I don’t like

[D] Maker’s Mark has got such taste

[Em]Cheers to all our friends in here tonight

[C] Pour another round, we're gonna rock this place

Verse 2

[G]Everybody raise your glasses, and let’s toast this crowd

[D]Let’s get this room jumpin’, let’s get this place loud

[Em]Tonight we dance, we drink, like country song poetry

[C] Tomorrow they’ll be talkin’ ‘bout this forever memory

Chorus 3

[G]There ain’t a whiskey I don’t like

[D] Johnny Walker or Jim Beam

[Em]They always put a smile on my face

[C]Pour another round — let me hear you scream!

Repeat Chorus 1

[D] Jack Danielsn' Jameson

[Em] It always gets every party rolling

[C] So pour another round for everyone

OUTGO

Final Toast (Spoken or softly sung w/ chords)

[G]So here’s to all our friends right here

[D]And those that we keep in our hearts tonight

[Em]May all our good-time memories live forever

[C] And may our whiskey always burn, just right
