Topic: You Never Do

Well I was on vacation for 10 days - never touched my computer.   When I got back I was thinking - boy there's gonna be a lot of posts in the forum.   NOT !!!!!   so sad !

Anyways....  while on vacation at the beach - in between chasing grandkids ( like herding cats}  - I started this song and finished it tonight.   I know it its not perfect - still working it out - but I figured at least its something for chordie forum to look at ! smile

You Never Do By Jim Kenyon

Verse  1

[G]I haven’t seen you in quite a while

But you [C]ain’t never left my mind

[D] seems you’ve been living rent free

Inside my [C]head all, all, this[G] time

.

Verse  2

.

[G]I wonder if you ever think of me

When the [C]night gets quiet and still

[D]Do echoes of what we used to be

Come [C]rushing back, against your [G]will

.

Chorus

.

Well my [C] jeans always fade, [G] but you never do

[D]Every road I take still [C]leads me back to [G]you

and I [C] keep chasing dreams, I [G] knowcan’t come true

but [D] loving you is the only thing that I [C]ever wanna [G] do

.

Verse  3

.

[G] one day our paths might cross again

and you’ll ]C]remember how it was back when

but ’til [D]then , I’ll just have to carry on

With [C]a heart believing we’re not [G] done

.

Bridge

[Em]Time moves on, but hearts don’t [C]lie

[G]Yours is the reason I can’t [D]say goodbye

.

Chorus

.

Well my [C] jeans always fade, [G] but you never do

[D]Every road I take still [C]leads me back to [G]you

and I [C] keep chasing dreams, I [G] knowcan’t come true

but [D] loving you is the only thing that I [C]ever wanna [G] do

.

[G]And now I’ll whisper one last truth

Through every [C]memory, I still choose you

and as my [D]jeans fade away,

[C] you never [G]do…

as my [D]jeans fade away,

[C] you never [G]do…

The price of anything, is the amount of life you exchange for it.   - H.D. Thoreau
Your vision is not limited by what your eye can see, but what your mind can imagine.
Make your life count, and the world will be a better place because you tried.
