Topic: Someday (is always just down the road)
I woke up at 2 am this morning with a couple of lines in my head. Spent the rest of the night and this morning writing this.
Someday (is always just down the road) By Jim Kenyon
Verse 1
.
[G]All my life I been [D] wishin’ for someday
[Em]Dreams I had but then [C] slipped away
[G]To find true love, and [D] make it stay
[Em]I always thought [C] I could find a [D] way
.
Verse 2
.
[G] All my life I been [D] waiting for someday
[Em]To ease my troubles that’re [C] here to stay
[G]It gives me hope and [D] then flies away
[Em] Will it ever come, ooh,[C] who’s to [D]say ?
.
Chorus
[C] One day I’ll be sittin’ be[G]neath the sun
[D] No stress no worries, just [G]having fun
[C] Maybe fall in love, hey ya [G]never know
‘cause [Em]someday’s [C]always just [D]down the [G]road
.
Verse 3
.
[G] All my life I been [D] looking for someday
[Em]Hoping someone to love [C] comes my way
[G]My heart aches more[D] than words can say
[Em] But I won’t stop [C]believing in some[D]day
Chorus
.
[C] One day I’ll be sittin’ be[G]neath the sun
[D] No stress no worries, just [G]having fun
[C] Maybe fall in love, hey ya [G]never know
‘cause [Em]someday’s [C]always just [D]down the [G]road
.
.
Outgo – play slower
[Em]‘cause [C]someday’s always just [D]down the [G]road
[C] Yeah, you know –that [D] someday is always just down the [G] road
The price of anything, is the amount of life you exchange for it. - H.D. Thoreau
Your vision is not limited by what your eye can see, but what your mind can imagine.
Make your life count, and the world will be a better place because you tried.
"Use the talents you possess, for the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except only the the best." - Henry Van Dyke
