Topic: Claude Johnson guitar control

I have seen a lot of negative posts about Claude Johnson but I have to say . ..  when I ordered his DVDs, they came complete with instructions on how to download the tutorial books. (some people didn't have a good experience with this) I also signed up with a monthly membership to his tip line or whatever it is, and after about 3 months had a very positive experience when I wanted to unsubscribe and halt the credit card debits. So he's not such a bad dude, even though I'm still the crap player I was when I got started in all this . . .

Re: Claude Johnson guitar control

Well it is nice to know that somebody had a good experience with him.....  there are a lot of poor reviews out there!

Welcome to Chordie, and we are hoping that your playing improves, although you don't sound as if Claude's course did much for your skills after three months.  A majority of the members have nice things to say about Justinguitar.com however, and his courses are free on youtube.

There are lots of resources here on Chordie and a huge membership that are willing to encourage you in your musical journey.  So jump right in and introduce yourself on the chat corner forum.... Welcome Aboard!

Re: Claude Johnson guitar control

CJ was the first time I actually paid for guitar instruction on line. The guy is a gifted salesman.
I would even say relentless. His "Killer Lead Guitar", ouch I got stung. You can find much better
free on Youtube. His "scale system", interesting concept, but oh so, boring tracks.
Youtube backing tracks, blow it out of the water. And free!! I still occasionally click on one of his links
and when his name appears in my inbasket, I avoid it like the plague. I get the impression he's only in it for
the money and to blow his own horn. He couldn't care less about making you a better guitar player.
