Topic: For TIGLJK

I have been following your songwriting tread with interest. I hope that it gets completed as, to the best of my knowledge, it has only been done once before (albeit slightly differently) in 2008.

It started here: http://www.chordie.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=9548

and finished here: http://www.chordie.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=9837

and the finished song is still on Myspace if you follow the link.

OK it was my idea, which is why it comes to mind; it was fun to do but a lot of work and much private communication to get everything together.

Good Luck, I have my finger crossed for another Chordie collaboration.

Roger

P.S. There is also a third post, a very long one, explaining the ins and outs of getting it done: http://www.chordie.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=9844
and if you read that you are a real glutton for punishment lol

** I just noticed that the second link listed was the same as the first.... 'Senior Moment'. I have amended it now **

Re: For TIGLJK

Roger,   I thought the experiment went pretty good - some good ideas and lyrics.  Not nearly as serious or well done as your original, but it was fun to anticipate the forthcoming lines. Although I tried to stay out of it, I really enjoyed following it as well. The mini size really caught everyone off guard, what a great perspective .  Everyone loves an underdog, unless of course you are President Snow from the Hunger games ! smile    Chordie community is the best      regards, Jim

Re: For TIGLJK

Hi guys. Re the songwriting.
I would hope no one takes it to seriously, for me it's just a way of passing a bit of time while playing the old guitar. I have stuck a few more lines to it and made it fit into a very simple chord structure.
For me the fun part will be playing it in the pub and telling them it was written in collaboration with people from all over the USA and Europe.
But who knows, if theirs a Chordies Greatest Hits album
You just may be able to find a bit of space.

Re: For TIGLJK

May I apologize to all Canadians and to Tenement Funster in particular, for not including you in the above post.
And of course without T F's hook that I can't get out of my head, none of this would have been possible.
Although I have found that while it's buzzing around my brain cell it's making me drive faster, can I charge the speeding fines to Chordie?
Once again, apologies to Canada and T F.
