Topic: HOW TO ADD A SONG IF THERE IS NO ARTIST AND SONG LISTED ALREADY

I have chords that I found myself and recreated from Chelsea Wolfe and song Hallelujah.
There are no chords for this song on the web ( I haven't found it so I took it down myself chord by chord)
I would like to post chords and tabs for what I think they are on Chordie and see if people are searching
for that song like I did before I listened and recreated chords one by one and wrote them down.
I would like to be instructed :
1st - how to add new artist to Chordie library of artists ( there is not one song from Chelsea Wolfe)
2nd - how to write a chord line up or add tabs or whatever is the right way to add new artist and chords to the song I know
3rd - how to notify other people of my findings and see if they can do better, have better chords, or have listened to the song and would like to find them there-self so I can show them mine and see if I am right and
if I wrote it down perfectly

Please help, any instruction or help or link to the instruction will help.
I would like to be a member I have registered and in my free time I am finding out chords to many songs that I can not find on the net so after this initial tab I would like to continue filling my song book with new song from artists I like, to share them with the public and get feedback on how good are they and if someone can do better and discuss how well I did it.
P.S. I play acoustic guitar and if there is interface for making my job easier then making a txt file and noting one by one line which chords I think they are, please help and give me a suggestion that will make my life easier so I can be more productive and continue to add more songs and maybe artist to the Chordie library if there aren't already there.
Thank you and hope to get a quick feedback and answer form other soulmates out there that play guitar and are willing to help. Cheers!

I'm still pretty new around here, but in answer to #2, you'll want to follow the chord pro format specifications, which are here:

[edit]And just found this post, which covers your topic: http://www.chordie.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=4613

Re: HOW TO ADD A SONG IF THERE IS NO ARTIST AND SONG LISTED ALREADY

Welcome to Chordie !!  First off, if you are not aware exactly how Chordie works, we don't have this large database of songs.... we just make it easier to round them up and put them in a fairly consistent format.  We also allow members to store a "personal index" of tunes referred to as a "songbook" for quick and easy access.  Nothing is actually "hosted" by us.

So the first step is to find a site to "host" and you might try www.ultimate-guitar.com  for a start and once it is in their collection, then you only have to submit a request (with the URL of it's location) to admin@chordie.com for review and inclusion in our index of music.

The preferred file-type is ChoPro (also known as Chord-Pro) but I think TXT files are OK also (just not compatible with some features like transposition).  There are several Wikis and other helpful resources out in "web-land" and possibly a "conversion" program that will easily turn your text file into Chopro..... pretty much it is up to the folks who wind up hosting the tune, they might have something they are particular about.

From time to time the Chordie index is updated and links verified to prevent chasing a rabbit-hole to a dead-end, and  I have heard that there is an "update in the wind".
There are sections in the Forum where you can publish your own "original songs"  (copyright content not allowed unless you "own" the "rights" and can prove it), collaborate with other "song-smiths", and get feedback on projects you might be working on.  Feel free to "browse" and add your input as you feel comfortable. Each section will have "sticky" notes at the top with helpful hints about navigation and content, they are "sticky" so they will always be at the top of the section, and most are closed for additional commentary.

Thanks for asking, and being a new member of the Community, visit often, introduce yourself down in the "Chat Corner" and I'm sure you will be made to feel "right at Home".

Welcome Aboard !!!
