Topic: Better Quit Now

I started this song years ago but picked it up again tonight. I think many of us can relate to how  the most minor inconvenience seems to torpedo your day right out of the gate.

Re: Better Quit Now

Sounds like a normal day to me...lol

You left out the part about the top button on the trousers popping off as you get into the car.... happened to me last week! The zip that gets stuck. There's so many last minute "accident's" you could write a part 2 .

I have to say I did lol as I've experienced everything you mention. Haven't played it yet but the words are great.

Re: Better Quit Now

Good One Jets. When I have had days like that and get that I want to quit thought I hear in my head the voice of my father and grandpa who died many years ago saying you will get through this..

Re: Better Quit Now

Thanks, Pete and Phill. Phill, I know I could have made this into an epic song if I wanted, but I figure I should leave a little hope out there. Pete, I have your grandpa's words in my head as well keeping me going when I want to quit.

Re: Better Quit Now

Seems we all are feeling the effects of such a _____________ year.

Well I was going to say here is a bright thought, Mad Max took place in 2021.  I just killed that myth by looking up the timelines, but they are even difficult to follow since scens in the original move have 1980s dates, but that doesnt mean it was not in the relitive future.   I guess I need to find me a Ford XBcoupe with a supercharger and a sawed off shotgun!

Jeff

My bad days usually include
unnoticed stain on clothes until I get to work
forgot my glasses, phone, keys or wallet
stepped in dog poop
battery is dead in car
out of coffee
car broke down
internet is down
paper cut on end of a finger
keys locked inside car
guitar string breaks

you are right   this list could be of epic proportion !

Loved it !

Re: Better Quit Now

Hey Jim - Hehehe...yep. We could pass this song around and have never-ending verses...a good "make it up as you go" campfire song I think.
