Topic: The Beatles Tribute When The World Turned to Color

I have been working on this for a while.
I truly believe the were the best the world has ever seen and heard.
Here is a you tube video - Ed Sullivan show 1964   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKTIPg9Cfhk   to give you some memories or introduce you !

This song pretty much is how I saw it.

Good song Jim . I remember when the "Mop Top Wars" between the Fab Four and the Stones fans  became part of Kiwi teen culture here in the 60s . I suppose the Beatles were the leaders in the USA of the British invasion. Brits bringing back American music to its home.  Though to be more correct American music is not purely “American” in origin  it is a fusion of multiple global traditions that settled, interacted, and evolved together in the U.S. and then spread out into the world. I don't think we will see another phenomenon like that again with the Beatles. I also remember when hair grew shaggy on all sides of this sixties musical game local barbers watched their waiting chairs growing emptier by the day for a few years. The term "long haired lout" was used often by older men back then.. I couldn't imagine Willy Nelson been called that today.  Jim you are making me feel nostalgic.

Re: The Beatles Tribute When The World Turned to Color

When I was an ankle bighter I had all the childhood illnesses and a lot of throat problems to boot! So I spent a lot of time in my sick bed listening to Radio Caroline or after 7pm Radio Luxembourg when I heard My Bonnie for the first time. I didn't catch the groups name and I didn't find out it was the Beatles until much later. I suppose everyone's heard of the " mods and rockers" of the early 60s big running fights generated by the media for something other than the Profumo affair.
As you know Jim, I am a big Beatles fan, I haven't yet had the chance to listen to your song but if it's to the quality of your previous stuff it'll be well worth the wait
