Hey!! I got a uke for christmas and am still trying to transfer my guitar knowledge to the uke... if you are familiar with TABs then i'd definitely recommend <a href="http://www.ukeland.com/~dominator/" target="_blank">http://www.ukeland.com/~dominator/</a> but beware... not all ukes are strung the same... you need to know if you have a low G (the top string being a LOW G) and if not avoid all those TABs... likewise if you do have a low G avoid the other tabs... if you have any other suggestions... i'd LOVE to hear them!!!

Just thought I should remind any new users of the intrument/tuning-funciton in Chordie. You can use that to convert most of the songs to the uke-variants.
You can also set the uke as your default isntrument.

I just got back from the Swannanoa gathering (Guitar workshop) and there was a jam session with these girls playing Ukes.... And believe it or not they were doing Madonna songs... My favorite was Material Girl... they were fantastic...
If you think about it, the uke could be used to play anything.... Many Jazz Guitarists will do chord melodies or comps just on the first 3 or 4 strings.... The Bass does bass melodies and you have a total song...

any song can be done on the uke.
