Topic: a song on the spot

Hey
Aint it time yet?
I'm so tired of this s***,
Can't we let it go?
Hey,
I'm not the one who said it
I'm not the kind to forfeit
By now you oughta know...

If runnin's
what you wanted
Then take off,(pause) and let it be
I'll be fine
You won't be on my mind
cuz I'm young, and I'm free

Hey
Don't try those same old lines
I've heard a thousand times
I'm not that dumb
Hey
Don't try to turn the blame
I've got a good name
For one so young

If runnin's what you wanted
Then take off, and let it be
I'll be fine
You won't even cross my mind
I'll be gone and I'll be free

Hey
I'm nearly grown now
And I don't know how
You don't see
Hey
I see right through you
All the hell that I've been through
Made this out of me

If runnin's what you wanted
Then take off, and let it be
I'll be fine
You won't even cross my mind
I'll be gone and I'll be free

Re: a song on the spot

I wish I COULD stay in that spot all the time. Actually I did write another song just a few minutes after this one, but it was called 'nekkid' and didn't make a whole lot of sense....

Hi last Rebel,
Liked your latest lyrics, well done.
Here's one that I wrote mid 2007. I'll submit it in the (chordie) format as soon as I can get my head around the format advice.

       D7                    Em                   A7                     D
IT’S HARD TO SAY, “I NEED YOU†, IT’S HARD FOR ME TO SPEAK
     D7                          Em                          C                          G
TO SAY THOSE SPECIAL, LITTLE WORDS, THAT MEAN SO MUCH TO YOU
   D7                      Em                              C                      G /// A7 ///

Re: a song on the spot

The song format's easy as pie John, just type [s o n g] (no spaces), {T: TITLE OF YOU SONG GOES HERE}(the T will be lowercase) now write out the song, placing the chord before the word it would be over just like this:

[G]la [D]la [G]la

Then when you're all done type [/s o n g] (only no spaces)....

Like your song by the way big_smile Holler if you need sumthin,

John - That's a beautiful song. YouTube is beckoning - I'd love to hear it.

Rule No. 1 - If it sounds good - it is good!
