Topic: Ode To The Elements.

Old Dolly many thankx for the kind words.Your weather is lousy so maybe our sunny sunday will cheer you up. The following quattrain could be hummed/sung to a Doris Day sort of vibe. How much is that doggy in the window - ring any bells.

Blue sky, shining sun
giving warmth and hope
to everyone
shining star hidden by blue
to sing the words
for all of you
fleeting clouds
grey and blue
slithering along the cirrus highway
turning your mood
from sullen and grey
to shiny and bright
on a God given day
no clouds no rain
when the day is good
the human mood
shall set its soul
to feel and do only good
newborn babes
animals in the wood
feel alive
and howl and scream
their earthly delight
at being with one
with the planets delight
at Gods' marvellous ways
of giving pleasure
in no small measure
to all who endeavour
to love forever
the mysterious ways
of blue shiny days.

once more - no chords etc etc.

Hi Buvvy,

Nice words again but you will have to get some chords/music to them to make them into songs.

I echo Rogers' sentiment. Why bother posting incomplete work? You can merge with other Chordians to co-write if you so desire. There are tons of poetry sites out there in computer land. The songwriting section here on Chordie is intended for songs, not poems........ Nice poems nontheless.

Give everything but up.
