Take me now

Accross the sand

Of furtile land

Take my hand

Thats pretty much how the song goes. You can hear me with my former band playing it @ http://www.myspace.com/chaos_theory_singer

The recording is pretty rough cause we did it at home and none of us are producers or engineers. (We were barely musicians) After we recorded it on 4 track cassette we felt it sounded kind of dragging so we sped the tape up so I guess it's actually in Eb. Give it a listen and tell me what you think. If you like it I have some others, just go to the friends section on the myspace page and click on american chaos theory. A couple of the songs are solo projects with only me you can tell by the drum machine.

A very crude recording of a very cool song - I could feel the lizard king creeping up on me . . . maybe a little too morbid for my tastes, but it's a good song. James

I disagree with james. Morbid???? not at all, I love this song, very good !!! sounds a bit like the doors and nothing wrong with that at all.

keep practicing wit hthe four track, you will eventually get to know yer levels. And keep writing all your settings down that you record with so if it is not that good you can easily change it until you get it. Once you have got everything right on the 4 track you can look up your notes to see what levels etc you recorded it.

ye get some that are cut out for the job and others just get by from pretending

Re: My song "PARADISE" (hope you like it)

I like this song too. Although it is a shame that the recording is not better at least I know the melody and the timing which is always the difficulty without a recording. The chord progression is great and I am looking forward to hearing some more of your songs.

Thanks alot for all your kind words and advise about the 4 track. It's nice to be part of a community of musicians that really want to encourage and help each other. At S.I.U. everyone in the music dept is so full of themselves. Very refreshing!!!
