Topic: Bought a Taylor today

OK, so I go to one of the lesser known music stores, and they have great staff, very friendly and knowledgable, great selection, and a Taylor 414 CE with my name on it !


I tried many guitars , and it was hard to choose at first, but I kept going back to the Taylor 414 CE, it just had the sound I liked. It has this special African wood which sounds nice to me. It has 13 size strings, and they recommend them, I am wondering what it would sound like with Elixer Lights ( 12 ) ?


I played Breedlove ( which was a close second ) Guild, and a few others I can't remember right now, but I choose the Taylor.. Thanks for all the input over the past few posts.


With tax it came to 1556.00 dollars. I am not used to spending money like that , so it was a hard decision.



Anyway, it came with a Taylor Hard Case, a Humidifier, a second set of Elixir strings ( my choice ) an XLR cable, a DVD about the 414  <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_biggrin.gif" border=0 alt="Very Happy"> and 2 year set up.


I still stink at playing, but it sounds sweeter  <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_twisted.gif" border=0 alt="Twisted Evil">

Congrats! You've now got a guitar that you'll never outgrow...one that will hold value...and should give you a lifetime of service...Enjoy!

It is a 410 CE ( dreadnought ) I wqas playing the 414 CE at somepoint  <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_redface.gif" border=0 alt="Embarassed"> Anyway, the 414 is the Grand Auditorium and somewher along the way I picked up the 410 CE but still nice, I guess it was a little less ?
