Topic: Stuck in a Tree (Another Origional)

Hope it isn't too syrupy. Wrote 3 songs tonight and this was the first one. Just in a bit of a dreammy child like mood. I finger pick this one on an accustic and my G and A shapes on this one are half barr chords, you know the ol' 4 string F shape slid up for G and A. It gives it a nicer feel I think but full open chords work just as good.

Hi Mike,

I sent you a private message on how to put things right unless, of course, Sir James in his shining armour, mounted on his white steed and with his trusty keyboard in his hand comes to the rescue first.

Joking apart I picked up my guitar and finger picked this song just as you described and I think it is the best song you have done so far.  I LOVE IT. In fact I am going to do a badeye and do it again right now.

Thank you,

Roger

My Mike,

Some of the best ballads were written by rockers. Remember "Momma, I'm coming Home", by Ozzy? Your song is great and shows another side of you. Great job.

PS: Just played it for my daughter and she liked it a lot (she's usually my toughest critic).

Hello Mike - Shining armor to the rescue.  I just fixed the layout for you.  The coding is tricky - and if you 'edit' a song after it has been posted, you just need to zap the whole thing and re-post (to get rid of all the embedded programming chaff.

This is a dandy little song - I like the idea and I like the feel of it . . . don't apologize for writing something that is not 'tough' . . . there is more honesty and real expression in songs that convey true emotions.
