Topic: Blankets (a winter song)

We've been having a bit of snow here in sunny south wales lately, so this song came to mind.

Blankets.Undefined

[E] When the cold light of morning, disturbs your sleep, darling.

You [B] remember the heat of the [E] night.

And I'm [Dbm] there like a blanket, [A] keeping you warm.

And I [E] know all the things that you like.

[E] With my arms wrapped around you, we lay there like spoons.

As we've [B] layed here all through the [E] night.

And we [Dbm] whisper like children, [A] hiding in cupboards.

Well I [E] know all the things that you like.

(CHORUS)

And [A] tonight we'll be lovers.

Again, [E] just like last night.

[B] Tomorrow we do it again.

[A] Snow on the rooftops.

[E] Cold crunchy footpaths.

[B] Let us stay here in the [E] warm.

(SOLO . ||E-B-E-B-E|| x2 > CHORUS)

When I [E] look at my roses, they're covered in frost.

Will they [B] die in the cold of the [E] night.

And [Dbm] winter surrounds us, like an [A] old woolen blanket.

And [E] everything `round us is white.

So [E] fill-up the kettle, as I light the fire.

Drink [B] tea as we get our-selves [E] warm.

[Dbm] Tomorrow may thaw, so we [A] dance through the snow.

And [E] everything `round us is white.

(REPEAT CHORUS X 2)

Hi Phill
I really enjoyed this charming song. All the elements of the song are executed with a professional finish.
The chorus effect guitar so suits your voice.
Well done my friend.

Phill... this song is beautiful!!!  Absolutely wonderful!  I love it!

Art and beauty are in the eyes of the beholder.
What constitutes excellent music is in the ears of the listener.

Hi Phil,

This would fit well into any one of the dozens of Your Top 100 Xmas songs CDs about at the minute.  Especially the chorus !
