pix have you tried the knockoff strat from standard the s101 i played one in the music store and i was impressed enough to buy it on the spot the pro's there set the intonation and made all the adjustments and i have used it on all my recordings ever since

i use 1st finger bar 2nd fret 3rd finger 4th fret 1st, 2nd and 3rd strings mute both high and low e strings or you can play a bar f posistion 7th fret or try 1st finger 4th fret bar 2nd 3rd and 4th mute 1st 3rd finger 6th fret 5th string 4th finger 7th fret 6th string or capo 4th fret and play open g for b open c for e open d for f# for the relative minor play open e minor

doc i think the Boss BR 600 has a built in rhythm that plays various tempos you can set and like my Boss BR 8 it will not record with your tracks it just keeps time while you record

to each his own nothing against pearl jam great group but the lead singer sounds like he singing and gargling water i dont care for this cover it has a machanical feel to it,but thats just my opinion if you prefer it over the original you can listen as often as you like i'll take the original version

I guess it's ones is first exposure to a song regarding the "better" version. I heard Pearl Jam do "Last Kiss" before I heard J.Frank Wilson and The Cavaliers do it. Sounds to me like J.Frank is pinching his nostrils closed when he sings it. I like the Pearl Jam version much better. Thanks for that link Old Doll, I enjoyed it immensely.

standard S101 plays and sounds as good or better then usa or mim's $180.00 4 pickups 1 at the end of the fretboard 1 in the middle and a double coil at the bridge check out the sound on my electric tracks on my web site it is identical in appearence

check out standard 101 it looks and sounds like a strad it even has a double coil pickup at the bridge plus the 5 posistion toggle for split tones i have one and have used it on all my electric tracks,it cost around 200.00 great action and a Wammy to boot

mixter its true you cant garbage up a song with just solo work it takes away from the identity of the song and without a foundation built on solid theory you dont really play "with the band" but yourself and thats a small group
